Laoshan green tea, Fulaiqing, Bibo Qingfeng and Qimen black tea are all famous tea varieties in Shandong.

It is a famous tea variety in Shandong.

Laoshan green tea is produced in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, and was introduced 1959. It is the earliest experimental site for introducing tea from south to north, and one of the birthplaces of green tea in Jiangbei. The climate in Laoshan is warm and humid, with strong sunshine, and the frost period is longer than that in the south. Coupled with the large temperature difference between day and night, tea trees grow slowly and have enough time to accumulate nutrients, so Laoshan tea is rich in nutrients. Laoshan green tea has the characteristics of thick leaves, pea fragrance, strong taste and resistance to brewing. In 2006, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine officially approved "Laoshan Green Tea" as a geographical indication protection product.

Fulai green tea is produced in Fulai Mountain, Juxian County, Shandong Province, and was founded in 1993. Fulai green tea has a long growth period, which has the unique flavor of northern green tea such as "thick leaf buds, high chestnut fragrance and resistance to brewing" and the main characteristics of Fulai green tea such as "green, fragrant, mellow and clean".
