Lingyin Temple is also quite famous, I believe everyone knows it, so how long will it take to visit this scenic spot? This small series tells you that it will not waste time to play after planning.

How to play Lingyin Temple?

Lingyin Temple, also known as Yunlin Temple, is the earliest famous temple in Hangzhou. Built in the first year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 326), it has a history of about 1700 years. Lingyin Temple is located in the west of West Lake in Hangzhou, with its back to the North Peak and facing Feilai Peak. Surrounded by two peaks, the mountains are shaded by trees and there are many ancient temples.

To visit Lingyin Temple, you need to buy tickets for Feilaifeng first, and then buy tickets for Lingyin Temple twice before you can enter.

Before visiting Lingyin Temple, you can look at the statue of Feilaifeng.

Feilai peak, also known as Lingjiu peak, is 168 meters above sea level, and the mountain is made of limestone.

Due to the long-term erosion of groundwater, Feilaifeng has formed many strange caves and valleys, such as Longhong Cave, Yuru Cave, Snake beard Cave and Tiger Eye Cave.

Gu Teng, an ancient tree on the mountain, is intertwined; Rock bones are exposed with sharp peaks and edges. According to predecessors' records, there used to be 72 caves in Feilai Peak, but most of them have disappeared due to the age. Most of the remaining caves are concentrated in the southeast of Feilai Peak.

There are more than 340 statues of the Five Dynasties Buddhist grottoes on the hillside of Feilai Peak facing Lingyin Temple, which is a rare ancient grottoes art treasure in southern China, comparable to Dazu stone carvings in Chongqing.

Stone carvings include three western statues (five dynasties, reliefs of Rushena Buddhist Society) and cloth-bag monks (Southern Song Dynasty, King Kong Hand Bodhisattva, Listen to the Heavenly King and Gong Guanyin), all of which are rare art treasures.

What is particularly striking is the smiling Maitreya Buddha, whose chest is bare and abdomen is exposed. This is the largest statue in Feilaifeng Grottoes and a masterpiece of sculpture art in the Song Dynasty.

The founder of Lingyin Temple is West Indian monk Huili. At the beginning of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, cranes swam from the Central Plains to Zhejiang and Wulin (now Hangzhou). When he saw a mountain peak, he sighed: "This is a small ridge of Jiuhua Mountain in Zhu Guo, Zhongtian. I don't know when it came. When the Buddha was alive, he was mostly hidden by immortals. " Then a temple called Lingyin was built in front of the peak.

In the Southern Dynasties, Liang Wudi granted land and expanded it. King Qian of the Five Dynasties ordered Master Yongming to be reborn and named Lingyin Temple. During the Jiading period in Song Ningzong, Lingyin Temple was known as one of the "Five Mountains" in the south of Zen. During the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the Buddhist monk Lingyin raised funds for reconstruction. It took 18 years to build the temple, and its scale jumped to the top of the southeast. In the 28th year of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1689), Emperor Kangxi was given the name "Yunlin Temple" when he visited the south.

Lingyin Temple is mainly centered on Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Pharmacist Hall, Dharma Hall and Huayan Hall, and there are five hundred Luohan Hall, Jigong Hall, Lotus Lantern Pavilion, Huayan Pavilion, Dabei Building and Abbot Building on both sides.

Lingyin Temple is not only large in scale, but also exquisite in every detail. Every Buddha statue and every relief is the crystallization of skilled craftsmen in the south of the Yangtze River.

Lingyin Temple has a vegetarian noodle restaurant called Yuan Shifang, which has a good evaluation. After entering the noodle restaurant, you need to order the number first, and then take the meal according to the order number. Yuan Shifang mainly provides four kinds of noodles-Luohan noodles, Changshou noodles, Fulu noodles and Jixiang noodles. In addition, there are vegetarian roast goose, bamboo shoots and vegetarian wonton to choose from.

After leaving Lingyin Temple, you can visit Daoguang Temple and yongfu temple included in the ticket of Feilaifeng. Although it is not as famous as Lingyin Temple, it is quiet. If you have time and energy, you might as well go.

In addition, a digression is Anyan Fayun Hotel in Lingyin Scenic Area. You can visit before, but it is said that you are forbidden to visit afterwards. If you are interested, you can ask the hotel staff when you pass by.

The biggest feature of Anman Fayun is that the appearance retains the quaint features of the original village, but the interior decoration is full of low-key luxury. Oman Hangzhou is the second Oman resort hotel in China besides Oman Hotel in Beijing Summer Palace. Put some photos and feel at will ~

Of course, the price is also leveraged.
