Han Donglang impromptuly sent poems to each other, which shocked everyone. He was reciting the sentence "Sitting and lingering for a long time all night long", which showed a mature style. Because he was a reward, he was also a fearful member (Part 1)
The poem was written at the age of ten. Success,
The cold ashes and residual candles move the emotions away.
Tonghua Danshan Road,
The young phoenix is ??clearer than the old phoenix.
Translation:
Able to compose impromptu poems at the age of ten,
Most of the candles at the banquet were burned out, and the ashes of the candle wicks also cooled. The farewell banquet is coming to an end, and everyone present is emotionally moved.
On the distant Danshan Road, beautiful tung flowers cover the fields.
From time to time, the clear and mellow call of the young phoenix comes from the flowers, echoing the bright call of the old phoenix, It seems more pleasant to the ear.
This poem uses a long title to explain the reason for the poem. Donglang is the nickname of Han Xie, a poet in the late Tang Dynasty. His father, Han Zhan, whose courtesy name was Weizhi, was Li Shangyin's old friend and brother-in-law. In the late autumn of 851 AD (the fifth year of Dazhong), Li Shangyin left Beijing and went to Zizhou (the state was governed in present-day Santai, Sichuan) and entered the shogunate of Liu Zhongying, the governor of Dongchuan. Han Xie was only ten years old, and he was able to compose poems impromptu at the farewell banquet. His talent shocked everyone. In 856 AD (the tenth year of Dazhong), Li Shangyin returned to Chang'an, recited the poems inscribed by Han Xi, recalled the past, and wrote two poems called "Qi Jue Reply".
