Life resume
Five yuan for college.
Dong was born in the most remote mountain village in Quanfeng Town. He loved painting and calligraphy since he was a child. He learned painting from a poor family, and painted on the earth wall and the ground with charcoal heads and stones. When you are older, dip your brush in water and practice hard on the stone. /kloc-when he was 0/2 years old, Dong was promoted to Quanfeng Town Middle School to attend junior high school. It was also in this year that he really started to contact calligraphy. Diligent and studious, he attracted the attention of Yang Pengyuan, a middle school teacher in the town. Under the care of Yang, who is good at calligraphy, I got to know Wang Xizhi, Huai Su, Liu Gongquan, Yan Zhenqing and Ouyang Xiu. Since then, I have been obsessed with calligraphy, and I have forgotten all about eating and sleeping. He greedily absorbed artistic nutrients from famous calligraphy works and worked hard for six years.
1989, whose father Dong died of illness. This year, Dong endured the pain of losing his father and was admitted to the Art Department of Jiujiang Teachers College with excellent results. As the eldest son, Dong is well aware of the pressure and responsibilities at home, but his strong desire to learn has the upper hand. Holding 5 yuan's money and wearing shabby liberation shoes, Dong resolutely left home. With the help of his teachers and classmates, he managed to scrape together the tuition and set foot on the road to study. So far, he still treasures the "sponsorship list" of that year.
Eat a meal every four days.
1990 On the first day of the first month, after the winter vacation, the students packed their bags and prepared to go back to school. However, Dong packed his bags and gave up his beloved major. In the biting cold wind, he and several young people in the same village embarked on the road of working.
Bump all the way to Jiujiang, transfer to Nanjing and transfer to Wuxi. After running for two days and two nights, the group only had one meal in Jiujiang. At this time, they are all penniless, and there are more than 100 kilometers from Jiangyin. They have to go there on foot. It was another two-day and two-night trip, and they ate dried radishes and rotten sweet potatoes from local residents to satisfy their hunger. After arriving in Jiangyin, they worked in a brick factory. When the rainy season came, the brick factory stopped working, so they had to go to the dock to carry it. In desperation, Dong bid farewell to his fellow villagers, joined a group of Sichuanese, and went to Luzhou Coal Mine in Henan Province to dig coal, doing the most tiring work, eating the worst food and holding the least salary. Dong gritted his teeth and insisted that his meager income was little except subsidizing his family. But even so, he still didn't give up his favorite career, bought paper and ink from time to time, and insisted on painting in his spare time. This life lasted for two years.
1992 In the first month, Dong came to Guangzhou and met a wage earner in Guangxi who was also looking for a job. Because of the language barrier, the two men confided in each other, and Dong wrote the poem "Worried about and heaven remains our neighbourhood, separated from each other". We understand. What is the relationship between acquaintances? "In his notebook. The other party marveled at the beauty of his writing, so they took out the only 40 yuan money to help Dong come to Shenzhen together, and started Dong's artistic career.
The world of strokes
After arriving in Shenzhen, Dong went to the cinema to advertise, and went to the hotel as an artist, artistic director and even assistant to the general manager. In the meantime, with the improvement of economic conditions, I completed all the courses of art major in Jiangxi University by correspondence, and got the undergraduate diploma, which fulfilled my original university dream. From 65438 to 0997, he came to Shenzhen Boya Art Company to make full use of Boya's opportunity to sell all kinds of works of art, appreciate famous works, watch the performances of masters and listen to their teachings. At the same time, he worked hard in his spare time and sublimated his painting and calligraphy skills again and again.
1997 is an unusual year for Dong. The manager of Boya Company found that his calligraphy skills were extraordinary, and selected several works to be framed for sale, which sold well. The success of the first attempt is a great encouragement and spur to Dong.
After the economic conditions changed, Dong began to visit the famous Sichuan temples in the motherland. While broadening his horizons and enjoying the scenery, he learned from his teacher and had contacts with a large number of painting and calligraphy masters in Wang Xuezhong, Liu Bingsen, Li Xiongcai, Bai Xueshi and Wang Chengxi. The masters also favored him and gave him advice. With the influence and help of the masters, his calligraphy and painting attainments became deeper and deeper, and he was quickly accepted and loved by people. His works have participated in exhibitions at home and abroad for many times, and spread in Japan, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Hongkong, China, Taiwan Province Province, China and other countries and regions. It has been collected by many international friends and art galleries, and his works and biographies have been compiled into more than ten dictionaries and classic works such as Selected Works of China Artists.
Since 1997, it has won many international and domestic awards. In April, 2002, he won the first prizes of calligraphy and artistic creation in the Northwest Cup National Literature and Art Grand Prix, was hired as an associate professor by China Calligraphy Art Research Institute of the Ministry of Culture, and was awarded as a "national first-class artist" by the Ministry of Culture.
Founder of China color painting
Dong is a very powerful young painter in China's painting and calligraphy circles, especially his landscape paintings, which are full of rich colors and unique. Calligraphy has a profound traditional foundation and is free and easy.
He is currently a director and researcher of China Calligraphers Association, executive director of Shenzhen Nanguo Calligraphers Association, vice president of Nanguo Calligraphers Association, director of Canadian General Association of World Calligraphers Association, director of China Calligraphers Exchange Association, and has been hired as honorary president of China Contemporary Calligraphers Art Research Association, honorary president of International Western Paper Calligraphers Association, honorary curator of Wu Daozi Art Museum and visiting professor of Oriental Art Research Institute.
20111On February 2nd, I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Dong in Beijing Raphael Castle and pay tribute to his paintings and calligraphy. As soon as I entered the hall, it was all calligraphy and painting, and an artistic atmosphere came to my face. From the beginning, I was attracted by those green and colorful landscape paintings.
Most of the landscape paintings I have seen in the past are ink paintings, and these green and colorful landscapes in front of me make people shine. Landscape with color, not only does not reduce its majestic momentum, but has a unique style, rich and elegant, full of vitality. This is due to Mr. Dong Fang Xiao's use of color and his concern for subtle changes step by step. The outline of the landscape is sketched in the form of meticulous brushwork, stroke by stroke, and with the change of line level. The tree has thousands of leaves, each of which is clearly visible and full, which is also outlined by meticulous painting.
It shows how hard it takes to finish that painting. With us, there is also a student of Mr. Dong. At that time, my eyes were straight and I was anxious to ask for painting skills. Mr. Dong said with a smile, "With your basic skills, you can learn these skills without learning for a long time. The key is the state of mind when painting. "
When Mr. Dong talks about his calligraphy and painting, he talks about the word "heart" at most, drawing it in his heart and writing it in his heart. No matter how difficult the skill is, you will learn it one day. The conception, conception and process of painting are all acceptable. If you don't feel your heart and have no distractions when writing, those skills are just a bunch of empty shelves.
Some people say that Chinese painting is an art of "expression" and western painting is an art of "reproduction". Chinese painting emphasizes "freehand brushwork", does not stick to the similarity of objects and images, and pays attention to the expression of feelings. In landscape painting, we often express our momentum or soul by changing the depth and freehand brushwork of ink. Western painting, on the other hand, pays attention to the perspective of focus, "writing form with form" and using rich colors will achieve a visual conflict and aesthetic enjoyment.
Mr. Dong's Colorful Landscape Paintings combines Chinese and Western styles, boldly and successfully applies colors to China landscape paintings, and endows China landscape paintings with new forms of expression. Mr. Dong can always maintain a non-stylized and non-repetitive creative attitude, and constantly explore and try on the artistic road. This is also the foundation of cultural development.
