The beautiful legend of ancient tea in Jingmai Mountain

According to two Dai materials recorded by Bo Yanhu, a villager in Nuogan, Jingmai village, and through textual research, it is said that a huge Dai tribe lived in Mengmao Haofa area a long time ago, when the tribe was very backward, people made a living by hunting and picking wild fruits and vegetables. With more and more people in the tribe, food was gradually lacking. At this time, the tribal prince Zhao Nuola (Dai name) took some people to find a new home. In 439 (16 BC), Zhao Nala began to migrate south. They waded all the way down the Lancang River and crossed the mountains to Lincang. At that time, there was no one living here, and they saw the beautiful natural scenery of the Lancang River Basin. Zhao Gela, with most of his people, continued to go south along the Lancang River, and soon came to the west of the Lancang River, which is now the territory of Lancang County. He took everyone to build a village and settled down here. At that time, the Lancang River had no name, and Zhao Gela saw that there were many wild elephants here, so he gave the Lancang River the name "Langzhang River" ("Langzhang" is a Dai language, "Lang": million) "Zhang": elephant), and later people wrote "Lang Zhang" as "Lancang" according to its homonym. One day, Zhao Nala was hunting in the mountains with a hunter. Suddenly, he found a golden red deer grazing leisurely. Zhao Nala and the hunter did not hesitate to chase after it, but they couldn't catch up with it. People were faster than red deer, and people were slower than red deer. They were thirsty and ate a few wild fruits. I don't know how many days they chased it, but they later caught up with today's Jingmai Mountain, red deer. At the foot of the mountain is a vast sea of clouds, while on the mountain, it is sunny and sunny, with beautiful mountains and rivers and beautiful flowers everywhere. The environment is very beautiful. Zhao Gela decided to go back and settle down here with his wife and tribesmen. Later, the Dai villagers in Jingmai said that their ancestors migrated to Jingmai Mountain with a golden red deer as the guide. (Jingmai is a Dai language, King: City; Michael: New).
