How do you think many people read books online and call themselves "bookworms"?
In fact, everything is inconclusive, just limited by the current knowledge. So I don't think there is any problem with bookworms who claim to read online texts. The key point is, from your point of view, if the words written by professionals and widely recognized beyond a certain communication boundary are called books, then the online texts are not even books, and naturally they cannot be called bookworms. If the definition of a book is broader, reading online texts can of course be called a bookworm. Just like in ancient times, you couldn't be called a scholar without reading sage books, and other research tools and instruments were called unlearned. As a result, in modern times, they were beaten out of the water by these uneducated barbarians.
