Guo Shaogang was born in Changping, Beijing from 65438 to 0932. Painter, art educator. Good at calligraphy. 1949 was admitted to the national Beiping Art College, and 1953 graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. 1955 to 1960 was selected by the state to study at Repin Academy of Fine Arts in the Soviet Union. Professor and Dean of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Director of China Artists Association. Honorary Vice President of the International Federation of Artists. 1999 Honorary Professor of Russian Repin Academy of Fine Arts, Pushkin Medal awarded by Russian Ministry of Culture.
