Yongchuan District is a municipal district of Chongqing, People's Republic of China (PRC), located in the southwest of China and the west of Chongqing, with an area of 65,438+0,576 square kilometers. Yongchuan is located in the north bank of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, west of Chongqing. It is named after the shape of three rivers and mountains, such as the word "Yong" and "Chuan". It is 55 kilometers east of Chongqing central city and 276 kilometers west of Chengdu.
