The materials developed are similar to those of Pan Yue, the author of "Living in Idleness", and Zhao Mengfu is also one of the most controversial historical figures in later generations. He himself has been wandering between the poles of being an official and hiding, and he is an official as an old prince and grandson. His psychological strategy can be imagined. He has been troubled by his own life predicament, and Zhao Mengfu's sense of guilt and shame is really an objective existence that cannot be underestimated and will accompany him all his life.
As a matter of fact, when he wrote "Fu for Living in Idleness", he hoped to use the power of calligraphy to adjust and/or alleviate his inner contradictions and anxieties in a certain procedure, so that his mind could get peace in the process of watching movies. This work is characterized by leisurely brushwork, fresh charm, the combination of lines and characters throughout, and elegant posture, which also reflects the bookish and rich calligraphy art of Zhao.
