Baiyun Temple, the first jungle in Quanzhen Taoism, is also the ancestral court of Longmen. Located in Baiyunguan Street outside Xibianmen, Xicheng District, Beijing. First built in the Tang Dynasty, it was the holy place where Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty enshrined Laozi, and was named Tianchangguan. During the reign of Emperor Shizong of the Jin Dynasty, the palace was greatly expanded and renamed Shifang Datianchangguan. At the end of the Jin Dynasty, it was rebuilt into Taiji Palace.
Baiyun Temple houses a large number of precious cultural relics, the most famous of which are the "Three Treasures": the Ming Dynasty version of "Zhengtong Taoist Canon", the Tang stone sculpture of Laozi seated, and the stone carvings and "Songxue Tao Te Ching" by Yuanda calligrapher Zhao Mengfu. "Yin Fu Jing" is attached.
After the founding of New China, national Taoist organizations, schools and research institutions such as the China Taoist Association, China Taoist College and China Taoist Culture Research Institute were successively located here. Baiyun Temple is also one of the temples in Beijing that was rarely destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution".
