How to use artistic pen

The usage of artistic pen is to hold the pen with thumb and forefinger, assist with middle finger, and bend the ring finger and little finger. The penholder usually leans against the root of the index finger (the largest joint), and the finger is about one inch away from the pen tip.

1, pen tip, bending length: the greater the bending length, the larger the writable size. If well controlled, the writing size can be large or small, which is very flexible. However, some art pens don't pay enough attention to this point, and the bending length is only 1 to 2mm, especially some new brand gift pens that only pay attention to packaging (the price is often more expensive). When selecting, it is best to reach 2 to 3 mm.

2. Bending angle. This is related to personal writing habits. Generally speaking, the correct pen holding posture is that the thumb and forefinger hold the pen, the middle finger assists, the ring finger and the little finger bend, and the pen generally leans against the root of the forefinger (the largest joint), and the finger is about one inch away from the nib. Generally speaking, calligraphy lovers like to use more than one stroke, that is, they can also use it for writing and calligraphy creation.

3. Is it a golden tip? Based on my personal experience in using an artistic pen, I resolutely do not use an artistic pen with a golden tip. Its elasticity is not suitable for an artistic pen. The artistic pen relies on the control of the contact surface to achieve the effect, while the straight-pointed pen is more suitable for the golden tip, and its elasticity can help you achieve obvious thickness changes, especially for lettering and calligraphy.

4. Pen grip area: Due to the poor quality of plastic products from some manufacturers, cracks often appear in the pen grip area of original plastic products. Most pens are made of steel, copper or other alloys. Be careful not to choose too smooth when choosing, otherwise it will also affect the grip of the pen, and writing for a long time will also lead to fatigue.
