How to cultivate pupils' self-confidence?

First, create an atmosphere and build self-confidence. Emerson, a great philosopher, writer and thinker, said, "Self-confidence is the first secret of success." Bowie once said, "Lack of self-confidence is the biggest reason for failure." Then, as a primary school teacher, it is particularly important to establish children's self-confidence. Based on this, I often carry out colorful activities to create an atmosphere of self-expression of "I can do it" and build up students' self-confidence. For example, I often organize reading competitions, calligraphy competitions, knowledge competitions, speech competitions, handwritten newspaper competitions, debate competitions and so on. In the past, students in our class organized a speech contest of "I am confident, I am successful" by myself. Before the competition, the students carefully prepared the manuscript and actively asked the teacher for guidance. At the scene of the competition, the contestants were full of confidence, or cadence, or passion, or affectionate confession, or solicitation, and won thunderous applause from the students. Through this speech contest, we found that many students re-established the correct outlook on life and values, re-invigorated their spirits, re-shaped themselves, raised their confident sails, and established the self-confidence of "I can do it".

Second, learn to compete and enhance self-confidence. Self-confidence is very important for the improvement of good competitive psychological quality. If a person has confidence in himself, he will devote himself to all kinds of activities with a hundred times enthusiasm, and it is easier to exert his ability and level. The best way to meet students' psychological needs is to motivate them. In class management, I adopt the system of class cadres competing for posts, so that every student who is willing to serve the class can make his own campaign speech and compete for posts. Students who work in this form have a correct competitive attitude, fully believe in themselves, work actively, and are serious and confident.

Third, teach methods and cultivate self-confidence. Primary school students, it is particularly important to cultivate self-confidence. Nothing can be successful without confidence. Zhang Haidi obtained a master's degree by herself and took part in the college entrance examination. She is not born smart, so what does she rely on, self-confidence? If she has no confidence, will she take the college entrance examination? If she is not confident, how can she get a master's degree? Psychological research shows that the acquisition and consolidation of a psychological experience needs the constant stimulation of external information. The establishment of primary school students' self-confidence is still in a passive stage. In order to make them change from passive to active and become conscious behaviors, in addition to the correct guidance of teachers, the author thinks that mastering the method of self-confidence is the key.

Fourth, cultivate special skills and be firm and confident. James said, "Everyone has the ability to succeed in life. Everyone is born with unique vision, hearing, touch and way of thinking. Everyone can be a person full of ideas and creativity, an accomplished person and a successful person. " Because of this, every student may have a skill. Careful teachers will pay attention to students' "unique ways". Once they discover their special potential, they will enthusiastically follow the trend and strengthen and develop with affirmation, encouragement and creation of conditions. When students realize that they are better than others in some respect, that they are not worse than others in all aspects, and there is no need to doubt that others discriminate against them, self-confidence and courage arise and gradually lead to success.
