He has published more than 1 papers in Hong Kong's professional newspapers and periodicals, such as Shu Pu and Xi Ling Yi Cong, which has won favorable comments at home and abroad and has a wide influence. I have my own new views on the study of seal cutting, for example, I put forward the theory that seal cutting is always in the Qing Dynasty, and I think that on the basis of "printing Qin and Han Dynasties", we should take seal cutting in the Qing Dynasty (especially in the late Qing Dynasty) as the Sect and take its essence to develop it. Seal cutting should give full play to its social functions, which will contribute to the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, emphasize the independence of seal cutting's creation and get rid of the position of vassal painting and calligraphy; In creation, we should take the realm of expression as the top priority and not be bound by techniques. Seal cutting's creation develops according to the law of "the odd and the right coexist", and his seal engravers should improve their literary, artistic and moral cultivation. He has also studied poetry, and his poetry creation has been included in Selected Poems of Contemporary China, Selected Poems of 8 Contemporary Poets and Selected Poems of Contemporary China. Seal cutting and calligraphy works have participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad, and have been included in special collections or carved into forest of steles or collected in museums. In the spring of 25, Xilong Printing Society held a seminar on "Poetry Makes Seal" in Ye Yiwei Art Museum.

Ye Yiwei studied seal cutting, and his practice and theory went hand in hand, and he had his own opinions. He put forward "printing Qin and Han Dynasties" and "seal cutting was always clear", and divided his study into two processes: first, learn from Qin and Han Dynasties to inherit the tradition and lay a good foundation; Then, it studies the seal cutting in Qing Dynasty for innovation and development. Focus on the study of seal cutting's thought of famous schools, not only pursuing form, but also trying to integrate seal cutting with literature, combining form and content as much as possible, and making many explorations without sticking to one pattern. On the altar, he was called "poetic mind making seal". Seal cutting is in line with literature, with richer artistic connotation and newer display forms, which not only serves painting and calligraphy. However, it is difficult to do so, and it is not easy to popularize. Some people call him "playing the piano alone" and setting up a portal. He has written more than ten books, such as Series of Talks on Seal Carving, Appreciation of Seal Carving, seal cutting and Skills in China, History of Seal Carving in China, Study of Seal Carving, Selected Poems of Yi Wei, etc. Among them, there are many enlightening new topics with simple writing style and simple reasoning, which have a great influence on seal carving circles at home and abroad.

His poems emphasize: developing the mind, capturing the image, making simple words, and reflecting the times through implication. Five-character poems have distinct characteristics and won praise from the poetry circle.

Calligraphy, because of its connection with seal cutting, is dominated by seal script, followed by cursive script. It is characterized by writing official script occasionally, and its content is often self-written and poetic. I began to learn painting after I was 8 years old. Because of my health, I seldom create.
