Characteristics of Sanshui Overseas Chinese Middle School

In the course of running a school for many years, I have summed up some experiences and gradually formed my own school-running characteristics.

In the construction of teaching staff, we have achieved "two attentions, three enhancements and more attention". Over the past few years, 12 teachers have joined the China * * * Production Party, 4 teachers have been elected as deputies to the Sanshui Municipal People's Congress and members of the CPPCC, and a number of young teachers have taken up administrative posts. More than 20 teachers, including Luo Zhifang, have successively won awards from the province and Foshan City.

Strengthen and improve moral education and improve students' quality. We have always attached great importance to moral education, and have formed our own characteristics in constant practice: first, the team and system are sound; Second, the network and base are perfect; Third, the method and content are in line with reality; Fourth, the forms of education are flexible and diverse.

First of all, in promoting the standardized, institutionalized and scientific construction of school moral education, we set moral education goals for students of all grades, design a series of class meetings, and combine moral education goals with special education so that students can correctly understand the relationship between knowledge and practice.

The second is to attach importance to the construction of basic civilization, starting from students' daily behavior, and let them carry out self-education in specific activities such as military training, doing exercises and running, social practice and beautifying campus labor. , so as to cultivate the ability of self-determination and self-care, and cultivate the spirit of ownership of management schools. Students' union will participate in the management of school canteens, student dormitories, public places, third district of China, teaching buildings, etc., and initially form a situation of students' autonomy and self-care.

Paying attention to the construction of campus culture and optimizing the educational environment is another important way for our moral education. In the process of campus construction, we consciously use the images, inscriptions and settings of different scenic spots to make silent language "speak" and strengthen the hidden educational function. At the end of 1993, the comrades of the provincial school evaluation group spoke highly of the school with "overseas Chinese are a painting and a poem".

Comrade Bin Liu said: "It is necessary to advocate beauty to supplement morality, promote labor with beauty, and strengthen the body with beauty." Comrade Bin Liu's words clarified the role of aesthetic education in the all-round and harmonious development of students, and also became the theoretical basis for us to organize students to attend labor and technology classes every week and participate in greening and beautifying campus activities.

The campus is also an appreciation and training base for art, entertainment, sports, photography, calligraphy, literature and other art projects. In the morning and evening, students can always be seen taking part in activities on campus. They are busy running, sketching, copying or practicing singing and dancing.

Moral education has been strengthened, which has promoted the development of school work. The school has been rated as an advanced unit of the first five-year legal education in Foshan for many times, and has been rated as a civilized school and advanced unit in Sanshui City and Foshan City for many times. There are no serious crimes among the students. The excellent rate of students' moral education evaluation is above 75%.

Deepen teaching reform and cultivate multi-level talents. Generally speaking, it is mainly to implement the "three stresses", grasp learning and change educational concepts; Do a good job in educational reform and promote teaching and scientific research; Do a good job in the second classroom and promote students' all-round development.

Over the years, while strengthening regular teaching, the school has organized teachers and subject groups to actively carry out research on teaching methods and learning methods around the center of "teachers as the leading factor, students as the main body and training as the main line". The junior middle school Chinese department organized an experiment of "reforming classroom teaching structure and cultivating students' self-study ability"; In the English department, junior high school and senior high school organized the exploration of teaching reform of "listening and speaking leading, reading and writing keeping up" and "three-dimensional teaching method" respectively; The department of geography has carried out the teaching reform experiment of "geography garden auxiliary teaching mode" In recent years, four people in our school have been rated as activists in provincial and municipal education reform, three as rising stars in Nanyue teaching field, 1 as an outstanding teacher in Nanyue, 1 as an outstanding teacher in Nanyue teaching and educating people, two as the third prize in provincial educational research achievements, 1 as the second prize in educational innovation, and 1 as the second prize in provincial outstanding educational research achievements.

Thirty-six papers have been published or won prizes in provincial and municipal journals. The deepening of teaching and research reform has promoted the improvement of teaching quality. The enrollment rate of junior high school is 1.000% for six consecutive years. The enrollment of key middle schools and provincial and municipal technical secondary schools ranks among the top in the city, and the results of college entrance examination are getting better every year. 1995 and 1997, Sanshui ranked first in our school in five subjects: foreign language, physical education and art. Zhu Yonghua (96 literature and history) and Lu (97 science and engineering) ranked first in Foshan in English. 1998, the number of people entering key universities ranked first in Sanshui City.

It is not only our experience, but also our characteristic to enliven the second classroom and cultivate talents at multiple levels. All along, we have organized students to participate in various cultural and sports activities, subject interests and competition group activities based on campus, and achieved remarkable results. Over the years, we have sent a large number of new students to conservatories of music, physical education and fine arts. The calligraphy works of teachers and students won 12 national and provincial awards and were exhibited in Japan. The first "Star of Tomorrow" singing competition in Guangdong Province was won by the students of this school. Four people participated in the subject competition 10, and 25 people won prizes at the provincial level, including English10.
