Collection circle _ Read through circle, collect again

The domestic art collection market is mainly divided into three circles, dominated by three forces. One is the traditional painting and calligraphy based on the Art Institute of the American Association; Second, realistic oil painting with the Academy of Fine Arts as the core; The third is the contemporary art represented by 798 and Songzhuang. The three forces lead the way and transform each other.

Three circles, the works in each circle have created a record of sky-high auction. As a collector, don't invest blindly, first recognize which circle you like. If you don't understand, you will always be a layman and be laughed at as a "wooden stick."

Traditional calligraphy and painting rely on "walking the hole"

The calligraphy and painting market has always relied on "entering the cave" (euphemistically called "pen club"), that is, painters and painters go to all parts of the country to write and draw, and receive red envelopes on the spot, which makes such calligraphy and painting works improvise or even accommodate and irresponsible. This kind of "going to the cave" has a large market, a wide area and a large number of people, so it is impossible for painters and painters to become serious, which is called "entertainment".

For the "Zou Xue" market, the main problem is the lack of academic supervision procedures for the works of painters and calligraphers. This order mainly comes from critics' comments, because "Zou Xue" painters are faced with direct buyers, and those buyers are mostly arty people who don't know professional paintings and calligraphy works, as we usually say: people who buy paintings don't know paintings, and those who know paintings don't buy paintings.

In the vast army of collectors, people from all walks of life need calligraphy and painting works as gifts, but few collectors buy their own collections. So fake paintings and calligraphy can be seen everywhere in society, which is mainly related to the quality of people who buy paintings and calligraphy. That is, the less artistic people are, the more they have to pretend to be artistic.

The lack of galleries leads to no standards.

In the west, of course, buying paintings is in galleries, which are important places in the art market. Not all western painting buyers know painting, but galleries can give them professional guidance, so customers will place a certain degree of trust in galleries, because galleries should consider the continuity and stability of painters' works, including critics' comments and the possibility of painters' development. Therefore, the painter's arrival in the gallery means that his works have undergone professional analysis, which makes the gallery management present a very serious feature.

In fact, there is no gallery system in China. Apart from the cooperation between contemporary artists from China who have entered western exhibitions and galleries, there are still no galleries in China engaged in the management of modern paintings and calligraphy in China. There are only painting shops, and many of them make money by selling fake calligraphy and painting.

Therefore, the proliferation of fake calligraphy and painting in China is related to the painter's eagerness for money, but it is also related to the way the painter sells his own calligraphy and painting. For example, some famous artists always complain that their paintings and calligraphy have been copied, but this is also the result that they have been selling their paintings and calligraphy privately instead of cooperating with a gallery, so the problem lies with the painter himself.

After the gallery sells its works, it must share them with the artists in proportion-if it is an international practice, it is basically 50% each. This sharing method will definitely not be realized in China. The attitude of painters and calligraphers towards this division must be that they occupy half of the money of the gallery in vain, preferring to find their own customers to buy their own works, or go directly to the cave to withdraw money. However, this method can neither guarantee the price stability of works nor guarantee the price stability of galleries, so in the end, the painting and calligraphy market can only be full of "walking holes" and fake paintings and calligraphy. This is the situation of our traditional painting and calligraphy market, and it is also the reason why the painting and calligraphy market and painting and calligraphy academic can't be serious.

To make matters worse, when there are no galleries, there are many auction houses. By the same token, because the collectors who own paintings and calligraphy are not in a professional gallery system, it is very likely to buy fake paintings and calligraphy from the people, and the auction house is not directly responsible for the authenticity of paintings and calligraphy, so fake paintings and calligraphy have reached the point of pervasive today. Even some small auction houses, fake paintings and calligraphy are done on the heads of middle-aged painters and painters who are still alive, including those who are still in the same city. Their auction strategy is to start with 300 yuan RMB and occupy the market of the general public with a large number of fakes.

So all kinds of questions can make real painters reflect. The reputation of the calligraphy and painting market in the international market has declined sharply, partly because of ignorance of China's calligraphy and painting, and partly because of the irresponsibility of China's painters and painters. Although our popular painters can earn China's head money now, it is at the expense of professional requirements. For this reason, a serious gallery, serious comments, and even academic theme exhibitions in art galleries are all essential procedures for calligraphy and painting to go to society. Without this, it means that the collection is not professional.

Realistic oil painting is "the best"

In this circle, no one calls himself a realistic painting school. These painters didn't think about which school they belonged to when they painted. For example, painting an ugly but kind woman, the painter's purpose is to extract her essence on the canvas. Only when the painting is completely realistic and undistorted can the effect sought by the painter be achieved, which is completely based on the needs of the object. For example, painting crabs is beautiful if it is realistic, and it is more expressive than freehand brushwork if it is completely realistic. Painters often choose expression techniques according to the different objects of expression, rather than pursuing a certain style mechanically. The picture processing of realistic oil painting should be transparent and clean, and the technical requirements are naturally very high. Realism can't be distorted at all, and it needs very fine painting. If it is not handled properly at all, it will be greasy and dirty.

Superb painting skills are also an important reason for the strength of realistic painting school. Contemporary realistic oil painting conforms to most people's aesthetics and is easy to understand and see. The realistic painter's image modeling is accurate, the color tone is true, and the high-tech content improves the quality of his paintings, which is the key to winning high market prices. A good realistic oil painting is difficult to create.

Camera can never replace painting, and realistic painting has a wide audience in China. Realistic oil painting endows the author with ideological connotation on the basis of painting, which is very in line with the traditional cultural spirit of China. Qi Baishi's phrase "too kitsch, no deceit, beauty lies between similarity and dissimilarity" has always been cited by us as a classic artistic pursuit realm, and also summarizes China's traditional artistic view. Artists look at mountains and rivers, collide with their own souls, and produce "trace paintings" with strong personal style and traces, but always follow China's artistic pursuit of harmony between man and nature.

Realistic oil painting has two extremes: one is "the most advanced photography" and the other is completely abstract. There are many points in it, and each painter only chooses one point.

However, in China's traditional aesthetic concepts and evaluation criteria, meaning, spirit, wonder and energy are the four realms of art, and "energy" is the last one. Photographic realism, with its superhuman description skills, makes people gasp in admiration, but sometimes because of the lack of subjective consciousness and the beauty of "similarity", it dilutes the unique charm of oil painting art, so it is not highly evaluated in professional fields.

Oil painting materials are irreplaceable.

Since its birth, oil painting has undertaken the mission of "reappearance". It should express space, texture and color. Its continuous improvement is also for this purpose. Our understanding of the concept of oil painting is based on this. In the same way, its existence should naturally be based on this.
