Tongguan, located in the port town of Tongguan County, Weinan, in the east of Guanzhong Plain, is one of the famous passes in ancient China. The situation in Tongguan is very dangerous, with Qinling Mountains in the south. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao and Ma Chao fought in Tongguan, and the name of Tongguan began to appear in history. After Du Fu's tour, he also wrote a poem, "A husband should pay attention to the important place, be narrow and allow a bicycle to ride, work hard and be brave." In order to consolidate their dominant position, rulers of past dynasties stationed heavy troops here and set up customs guards. Tongguan has been repaired many times since the Song and Ming Dynasties and is well preserved. There is a gatehouse built in the Ming Dynasty in Ximen, commonly known as the "Bridge House", which is magnificent. The wall of Tongguan City in Ming Dynasty, Tongguan still exists. There is a "first pass" about three miles outside the East Gate of Yadong, the old county of Tongguan, with the Yellow River in the north and the plateau in the south. It is the first level to guard Tongguan.
