Xiang Yu's life experience

Xiang Yu (former 232- former 202) was born in Suqian, Jiangsu. The grandson of Xiang Yan, a famous Chu. After Chu's death, he went into exile with his uncle Xiang Liang in Wuzhong (now Suzhou, Jiangsu). When I was young, I couldn't learn calligraphy, but I still couldn't learn sword. Determined to learn "the enemy of ten thousand people" (that is, the ability to resist ten thousand people), I learned the art of war from my uncle. But I just have a "little knowledge" and refuse to study. Xiang Yu is eight feet tall and can carry a tripod. When he was young, he was ambitious. When Qin Shihuang visited Zhejiang (now Qiantang River), Xiang Yu saw his horses and chariots commanding, and blurted out, "You can replace them." In the first year of Qin Ershi (2009), Chen Sheng and Guangwu rose up in osawa Township. Xiang Yu responded with Xiang Liang in Wuzhong. Twenty-four-year-old Xiang Yu was pushed onto the historical stage by the storm of the people's uprising.

Who is Xiang Yu's father?

(2005-02-2 1 00:28:3 1)

Sima Qian wrote at the beginning of Historical Records of Xiang Yu: "Ji Xiang is a man of the next generation, with a feather. At the beginning, at the age of 24, my father was Xiang Liang and my father was Xiang Yan. The generals who were killed by Qin Jun were also Wang Jian. Xiang's family is General Chu, and he was sealed in Xiang, so his surname is Xiang. " Because Sima Qian didn't give a clear account of Xiang Yu's family background in Biography of Xiang Yu, even his biological father didn't give it to him. Later, the official history such as Han Shu written by Ban Gu was not mentioned. In addition, after the defeat of Chu, Xiang Yu lived abroad with his uncle Xiang Liang for a long time and never returned to his hometown. The reproduction of the Xiang family in Suqian, especially who Xiang Yu's father is, has become an eternal mystery.

Tracing back to the source and exploring Xiang Yu's family background

As a native of Xiang Yu, he has the responsibility and obligation to find out the ins and outs of Xiang Yu's family background. To understand such a problem, we must find the descendants of Xiang. With this question, recently, Director Li of Sucheng District Museum began to visit Suqian Xiangjia. He first found Xiang Zhuang in Longhe Town, Sucheng District, and met Mr. Xiang Yutong, who has a family tree. However, he regretted telling Director Li that when the genealogy was revised in 1997, because there was no old genealogy, Xiang's surname was changed to Xiang's. Later, he heard that there were dozens of surnames, but the genealogy was also newly revised and there was no result. A few days later, by chance, curator Li met Mr. Xiang, the general manager of the department store. Talking about this matter, Mr. Xiang said to Director Li with great certainty: "We are descendants of Xiang Yan, the general of Chu. The ancestral hall is evidence and the genealogy is the basis. " So curator Li and his colleagues made a special trip to Mr. Xiang's hometown, Linhai City, Zhejiang Province. Through the introduction of Mr Xiang's friend Xiang, they found Xiang's Ancestral Hall in duqiao town, Linhai City.

Xiang's ancestral hall covers an area of about 10 mu, with three courtyards in front and back. According to written records, it should have been built in the Qing Dynasty. Although it is worn out, it is antique. The ancestral temple is well managed. Director Li made it clear to the person in charge of the ancestral temple in the future, and took Director Li to the attic where the genealogy was stored. While introducing to the curator Li, he took out his genealogy. After careful reading, Director Li and his party found that the earliest generation on the family tree was in the Tang Dynasty. Only a few words in the preface can explain the reproduction of its ancestors, but it is not clear. When curator Li and his party were ready to say goodbye with a very sorry look, an old man came outside the door. After understanding their purpose, he told them in semi-Mandarin: "The genealogy you want is in Xiang Rui Lin's home in Luqiao." And gave the contact number to curator Li. After leaving Xiang Ancestral Hall, Li and his party drove to Luqiao Town. After telephone contact with Mr. Xiang, I learned that Li and his party were guests of Xiang's hometown. He walked to the appointed place in the rain and warmly received Li and his party at home. After explaining his purpose to him, Director Li said to Mr. Li, "You have found the right one." So I took out the good tea at home to entertain them, and took out the genealogy. The spectrum was reconstructed in 1998, with a blue cover, beginning with "Xiang's Zhao seal map" and eyebrow as "pedigree map". Xiang Yu's father is Xiang Chao? Director Li told reporters that in the absence of historical records, some people insisted that Xiang Yu's father was in order to find out who his father was. Some people think that Xiang Yu has the power to surpass ordinary people, that he is not born by ordinary people, and that he is a dragon and a phoenix.

Who is Xiang Yu's father?

The genealogy of the expansion item is clear at a glance: the first uncle in the picture is the grandson of his son Boqin. My uncle has three sons, the oldest, the second and the third. After a long period of peace, Xiang Tuo began to regress. Xiang Yu's grandfather Xiang Yan is the eighth generation grandson of his uncle. Xiang Yan has three sons, the firstborn is Xiangchao, the second is Xiang Liang and the third is Xiangxiang. After super membership, membership is the name of Xiang Yu. Liang, Liu You. Item is Xiang Bo in Biography of Xiang Yu. It had a great influence on the ancient history of China. Can Xiang Bo's son change his surname to Liu? Director Li said that on the family tree, Liu You's left side was marked. "The word Jun carries Emperor Gaozu's accession to the throne, and Xiang Bo is named as his son, and the marquis gives his surname." After Xiang Yu defeated Wujiang River, Liu Bang established the Dahan Dynasty. Because Xiang Bo acted as a traitor at the Hongmen banquet, he saved Liu Bang's life and married Liu Bang's children and in-laws. After Liu acceded to the throne, he was named Xiang Bo Sheyang Hou and given the surname Liu, who was the same clan as Han. Xiang Bo, given the surname Hou, married Liu Bang's children's in-laws, and not only held a high position, but also became the uncle of the Prince. Therefore, it is natural for families to thrive and reproduce from generation to generation. It is obvious from Xiang's genealogy that Xiang Liang is a descendant of Xiang Bo after the third generation. It is also reasonable that Xiang Yu and Xiang Li have no children, or have children, but they are not recorded because "the winner is king and the loser is the enemy". Nevertheless, Xiang Jia's genealogy clearly explained Xiang Yu and above, and the mystery of the ages was solved. Xiang Yu's father is neither Xiang Zhong nor twins. Xiang Yu's father should be Xiang Yu's eldest son Xiang Chao.

Xiang Yu should not be a descendant of Shun.

Sima Qian said in Biography of Xiang Yu: "I heard Zhou Sheng say that Shun's eyes are covered with heavy pupils, and Yu Wen also covers them. Are feathers evil? " Sima Qian suspected that Xiang Yu was a descendant of Shun. Is Xiang Yu a descendant of Shun?

Director Li said that the first generation of Xiang's genealogy was Shu Du, and its annotation was "The surname Ji sealed the Duke of Zhou, and the later flying birds lived in Lu, and the descendants of Qi Heng (this word should be Huan) took the grandson of the flying birds in Shu Du as their country". After investigation, the first volume of "Ancient History of China" (People's Publishing House, 1979 edition, p. 63) "The Duke of Zhou was sealed in Lu, located in Lushan, Henan Province, and later moved to Duyan (now Qufu, Shandong Province), and was the governor of Liuyin people." The statement in Xiang's genealogy is completely consistent with the record in China's general history. Therefore, Shu is the grandson of Bo Qin, the son of Duke Zhou, and Bo Qin is the son of Zhou Wuwang. According to "Zhou Xian Gongbiao" in the first volume of Ancient History of China published by People's Publishing House 1979, the genealogy of Xiang's reproduction is as follows:

Abandon (Hou Ji)-Stone Kiln-Bow-Gongliu-Celebration Festival-Royal Servant-Poor Servant-Destroy X-Right and Wrong-High-Uncle.

Although this picture is not directly copied, it can be clearly seen that Xiang Yu is the "abandoned" twenty-ninth generation grandson. The reproduction picture of Shun is: Shun-Yu-Qi-Taikang-Zhongkang-Xiang-Shao Kang.

Director Li said that through the above analysis, Sima Qian guessed that Xiang Yu might be a descendant of Shun just because both Shun and Xiang Yu were "heavy pupils", which was unscientific. Xiang Yu's ancestor should be "Hou Ji".

Director Li told reporters that Xiang Yu, a native of Suqian, had a great influence in the ancient history of China. However, due to Sima Qian's unclear description of his family background in Biography of Xiang Yu, the reproduction of Xiang family, especially who Xiang Yu's father is, has become an eternal mystery. This is a great pity. He and his colleagues made a preliminary textual research on Xiang Yu's family background according to the relevant materials in their hands. There must be some problems, but they intended to attract experts and scholars in the history field to actively participate in the in-depth study of Xiang Yu's culture.
