Running script is not to solve aesthetic problems. Writing is not to study how to look good or better. In that case, the goal of practicing calligraphy can only be amateur conscious behavior. Then I ask you: what is the standard of good-looking? Can you analyze and quantify any word you write or see in the copybook? Then ask you one more question: Do you want to talk about quality? How to look up words? If you don't want quality inspection and only talk about aesthetic practice of calligraphy, then the following will happen:
For example, if you build a house at home, you know how to pull out a bunch of "good-looking" architectural appearance renderings on the Internet. Can you build a house? Because your aesthetic has reached a certain level! But you don't understand that the master you invited is not professional! Because you are definitely not professional yourself! You don't understand the load-bearing relationship between foundation beam and ring beam, as well as the beam-column wall stairs. You don't understand the distribution of steel mesh and how to design the blanking.
For example, the master who originally asked for double-layer steel bars on the floor only gave you the next floor because you couldn't see it in your spare time. All you know is that the construction site is dirty and ugly, so you don't care. Let the workers do whatever they want. Anyway, I think it will look good if you build it for me. Is it possible to do this? Is it reliable? It is not reliable in any industry.
Another example: the factory produces a large number of screws. Can you feel that it is qualified? If you pick out what you think is beautiful and qualified to make finished products, the factory you run will definitely close down within a week. Hundreds of thousands of screws are sampled at the factory, and the unqualified rate is as high as 80% or even all. The vernier calipers in your factory have rusted after years of use! Without paying attention to quality, where can we solve all social problems by aesthetics?
Learning any skill or major is the same! We have been students for more than ten years in my life. Since childhood, examinations are quality inspection! How can good handwriting mean good academic performance? No matter how beautiful your writing is, it can't replace the quality of learning. If you write beautifully, your problem-solving ideas will naturally come into being? Words look good, and your reading comprehension ability is naturally better than others? It's impossible! All this is just imagination!
If we always don't distinguish between hard pen calligraphy and hard pen writing, and don't distinguish between calligraphy and the use of standardized words, then the standards will be chaotic, and it is impossible for two opposing standards to be rigidly integrated into one standard. It should be standardized and changed, practical and artistic. It should be noted that hard-pen calligraphy is much more artistic than practical, while hard-pen calligraphy mainly focuses on quality, giving consideration to practicality and aesthetics, unlike the imagination of many beginners.
I just want to write quickly, which is basically beautiful. The requirements are not that high, but what about the quality? Do you have a sense of quality? How is the quality analyzed? I don't understand, I'm totally conscious, so practicing calligraphy is blindly pursuing an illusory aesthetic feeling, such as pleasing to the eye, comfortable and delicate. . . . It is basically impossible to quantify and analyze with objective reality. Such calligraphy practice will eventually develop into self-appreciation, self-identity and narcissism, which is definitely unreliable.
