A Dongba couplet

A Dongba couplet

On March 22, Mr. Qian Songqiao, deputy editor-in-chief of "Cultural Exchange", accompanied Ms. Gao Chonghua, former editor-in-chief of Yunnan "Mystery" magazine and Zhejiang "Science 24" Mr. Xie Zhaoguang, the former editor-in-chief of Hours, came to Quzhou to see me. Gao and Xie have never been to Lanke Mountain, and Songqiao has not been to Lanke Mountain for more than 30 years. I decided to accompany them to Lanke Mountain the next morning.

Unfortunately, there was a heavy storm the next morning. "Don't let the good days of Spring and Autumn pass by, it's the hardest for old friends to come during the storm." So, we went up the mountain as planned. In the Lanke Mountain area shrouded in dense rain, there were only four tourists including me. Gao and Xie marveled at the mountain shape and vegetation of Langke Mountain, saying, "It's really a fairyland." Braving the strong wind and cold rain, I staggered to the top of the stone bridge with one slippery step. "The wind and rain rot in Keshan" left a deep and unforgettable impression.

Farewell in the afternoon, friends are going to Wuyuan. Ms. Chonghua gave me a pair of Dongba couplets written by her father, Mr. Gao Feng.

The first time I saw Dongba hieroglyphs was at the Xu Xiake Research Conference held in Jiangyin at the end of March last year. A banner in Dongba script by Mu Zenggong, the chieftain of Lijiang in the late period, was presented to the former residence of Xu Xiake in Jiangyin City. Dongba hieroglyphics are wonderful and fascinating. Unexpectedly, just one year later, I got a Dongba couplet created by the famous calligrapher Mr. Gao Feng.

The Dongba hieroglyphs in this couplet are translated into Chinese characters, that is: "There are thousands of books in my belly, and there is not a speck of dust in my writing."

Songqiao is the editor-in-chief of "Popular Television" At that time, I made a special trip to Kunming to interview Mr. Gao Feng, and wrote an exclusive interview titled "Gao Feng and the "Living Fossil" of Words".

Songqiao told me that Dongba script is a hieroglyphic script used by the Naxi people. It is different from the Mayan hieroglyphics in Central America, the cuneiform script of the Sumerians, and different from our country. The oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang and Zhou dynasties are pictographs with both ideograms and sounds. Today, all hieroglyphics in the world have been lost in the dust of the times, but Dongba script is still used for writing scriptures, compositions, accounting, and correspondence. Therefore, it is known as "the only living hieroglyphics in the world." ".

Songqiao also told me that in March 2005, the "Gaofeng Dongba Wen Combination Painting Exhibition" opened at the Texas State Museum in the United States. More than 100 Dongba paintings such as "Sacrifice to Heaven", "Beautiful Lijiang", "Fruit Harvest", "Prosperous Animals" and other paintings in Dongba language were refreshing to people from all walks of life present. The Chinese, overseas Chinese and American friends present were deeply attracted and fascinated by this unique art. Then, it was exhibited in Atlanta for another month. In 2008, the 80-year-old Mr. Gao Feng created more than 40 Dongba script works according to the 28 competition events stipulated in the Beijing Olympic Games.

A Dongba script combination painting was hung in my study, and it suddenly became bright.
