Anshan generally refers to Anshan (a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province).
Anshan, referred to as Steel Capital and Jade Capital for short, is a prefecture-level city in Liaoning Province with the approval of the State Council. It is an important iron and steel industrial base in China and an important central city in south-central Liaoning.
Anshan is located in the northeast of China, central Liaoning, central Liaodong Peninsula and the hinterland of Bohai Economic Zone. It is an important fulcrum of Shenyang-Dalian Golden Economic Belt, a sub-central city of Shenyang metropolitan area, an important connecting belt between central Liaoning urban agglomeration and Liaodong Peninsula open area, a larger city with local legislative power approved by the State Council, the largest iron and steel industrial city in Northeast China, and the first iron and steel industrial city in China, with "* * and the national iron and steel capital" and "the cradle of China iron and steel industry".
