Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, himself was a hands-on person. He personally served as Cui Gong of the Liyuan and became Ya Gong, equivalent to the "highest artistic director" of the Liyuan, directing the following two sets of artistic talents.
Li Longji not only created himself (he created colorful feathers), but also encouraged others to create together. At that time, famous poets such as Li Bai and He Du wrote plays for the Liyuan, and famous artists such as Li Bai and He Du worked in the Liyuan.
Thanks to Li Longji's vigorous advocacy and personal supervision, Liyuan became the center of art and culture at that time, which produced a large number of performing artists and later forms of opera, such as Kunqu Opera and Peking Opera. Therefore, since then, the opera performance has been linked with the pear garden, and the opera circle has become the pear garden circle, and the opera people all call themselves pear garden people.
