It is precisely because of this understanding that many parents are very aware of the importance of calligraphy and have reported some hard-pen learning training classes to their children since they were very young. The results of training are not satisfactory, but some of them can also see good results.
However, in this process, it is easy to see a strange phenomenon: the words written by children in the training class are beautiful. But after leaving the training class, the handwriting is still ugly in daily life and normal school life. Especially when doing homework, the handwriting can be described as horrible.
What is the reason?
The most important reason is that the training course is too short, and it is difficult to really form a habit. Writing is essentially a process of cultivating people's habits. In the end, it is not only the words written by children, but also an aesthetic of children's fonts.
Learning writing is a long process.
Many children write beautiful words in the training class, because the training class teaches children according to pure calligraphy, first teaching them various strokes, and then combining them into fonts. Moreover, most of the writing in the training class is slow, maybe only a few words a minute. It is not difficult for children to write beautifully as long as they are careful.
But if it is in life, when children write homework, they also write homework at this speed. I'm afraid that parents will think that children are procrastinating and going crazy. And when doing homework, the speed is fast, and children can't find the feeling of being in the training class. When writing words, you will be confused, and naturally you can't write well.
In addition, at present, children's schoolwork is very tight, even if they go to the training class to learn to write, the time for studying in the training class is limited. Writing, on the other hand, can only be achieved through accumulated efforts.
So it is not difficult to understand that children really can't write good words in this case.
The calligraphy taught in the training class is slightly different from our daily writing.
At present, the training courses for teaching calligraphy, even though nominally training hard pen calligraphy, are actually born out of brush calligraphy. The way of writing and the requirements for strokes are also taken from the teaching of brush. Practice basic strokes first, and then learn to knot words. There are also a whole set of stresses such as lifting pressure when writing.
It is really unrealistic to want children to write like this when doing homework at ordinary times. Once you write quickly, it is easy for children to forget all the writing rules and write entirely from memory.
In fact, most of us write purely by heart in our daily life. Every time I write, I deliberately follow the rules of hard pen calligraphy, which is really not good.
The only way is to really integrate these rules into our words and form an instinct. If parents really want their children to write good words, they must not be impatient. At first, children can be forced to write their homework with strokes. Even if it is ugly, it must be so. After a long time, children are used to writing with strokes, and naturally they will have their own aesthetic views on calligraphy. When writing in the future, they will also take the initiative to move closer to the direction they feel beautiful.
After a long time, children can naturally write beautiful fonts in their daily lives.
