Introduction of scenic spots in May 3rd Memorial Park;
The May 3rd Memorial Park, located in the south section of the West Moat, was built to commemorate the May 3rd Massacre in Jinan. 1986. 1928, the National Revolutionary Army invaded Jinan, and Japanese imperialism intervened in the name of protecting overseas Chinese in Japan. On May 3rd, it brutally killed 17 diplomats, including Cai Gongshi, the special negotiator of the National Government in Shandong, and then seized the whole city, killing nearly 10,000 soldiers and civilians in China at will, creating the "May 3rd Massacre" in Jinan that shocked China and foreign countries. Close to Shuncheng Street outside Xicheng Root, all the houses were burned, and all the residents were spared. Later, it was renamed Wusan Street. The May 3rd Memorial Park was built here.
On the east bank of the river, a stone tablet in the shape of a quadrangular pyramid with nine Chinese characters engraved on it was made by imitating the monument built by the Shandong provincial government in Tai 'an Dai Temple in May of that year (1929). On the north and south sides of the monument, juniper trees surround and flower galleries set each other off. On the east side of the monument is the "5.3 Massacre Monument" newly built in September to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the world anti-fascist war. 1995. The monument, which is made of black granite, is composed of a lying tablet and an embossed wall, running north and south, with a height of 4.25m and a length of17m. Lying on the east side of the monument, surrounded by iron rope guardrails on the north, south and east sides. The monument is engraved with six Chinese characters inscribed by Wu Zhongqi, a contemporary calligrapher.
There is a huge white marble desk calendar in the middle of the stone tablet. On the right page, the date of the May 3rd massacre is engraved, and on the left page, the "Brief Introduction to the Jinan Massacre" is engraved by Wu Zhongqi. The left and right sides of the desk calendar are decorated with garlands carved with white marble. On the west side of the monument is the embossed wall, and the west side is engraved with the relief of "national humiliation". The relief adopts the artistic technique of stone carving in Han Dynasty, and reproduces the scene of the "May 3rd" tragedy in Jinan by combining documentary, symbol and implication. Hong Zhong carved at both ends, never forgetting the national humiliation, and the alarm bell rang for eight characters.
On the west bank of the river, cedar, wintersweet and bamboo are planted. There are boats in Qingxi in the park, and there are stone tables and benches under the shade. In addition to mourning, tourists can swim in the mud, enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the strait, or take a nap on a stone bench.
