From 65438 to 0937, Fang Zhaolin went to Manchester University in England to study modern European history.
Fang Ran works in an import and export company in Hongkong, and studies calligraphy and painting with Zhao Shaoang, a master of Chinese painting. 195 1 year, Fang and Chinese painting masters held an exhibition in Japan and published their recent works in Tokyo.
1953, she studied under Zhang Daqian, a master of Chinese painting.
1954 entered the University of Hong Kong, studied China's philosophy and literature with Tsung i Jao and Liu, and held a solo exhibition at the University of Hong Kong in 1955. 1956 went to Oxford University to study for a doctorate in literature.
1970, Zhang Daqian spent a year in the "habitat" of the United States, creating landscape works.
Her works include landscapes, flowers and birds, figures and calligraphy. The achievements of Chinese painting have been affirmed by all walks of life. Her works retain the teacher's style, with strong colors and bold strokes; "The book is resolute and heavy, the painting is simple and clumsy, and it has been persistent for many years, striving for innovation, with small changes in three years and great changes in ten years" (comment by Liu Weimai). In his later years, most of his works reflect the world, such as the boat people map, ode to world peace, long scrolls of smooth transition and so on. The style of his works is rare in the history of China fine arts. The pen was thunderous and broke through the ground; Naive and simple, the picture is clear and masculine, revealing innocence. In terms of inheriting tradition and integrating into modern times, she goes in and out of tradition, introduces books into paintings, has a strong backbone and a strong ink fragrance. Small paintings are not delicate, and big paintings are unambiguous. Sharp stimulation, scattered algae and flowers. Mountain dance and sea songs are extraordinary and profound. Due to her experience in studying abroad, her art absorbed the charm of modern western abstract art, boldly composed and actively innovated, creating a brand-new aesthetic outlook in the history of China landscape painting.
Since 1999, Fang Zhaolin has been unable to practice painting and calligraphy for 7-8 hours as usual because of his physical deterioration. In 200 1 year, he had to sit in a wheelchair and his children had to answer questions when he participated in the "Art of Fang Zhaolin" personal painting and calligraphy exhibition held by the Central Library.
On the morning of February 20, 2006, he was admitted to the hospital because of a heart attack. He died of heart failure in Sao Paulo Hospital at the age of 92, where his son Fang Jinsheng was the director. He was buried in hong kong funeral home and buried with her husband in Happy Valley Catholic Cemetery.
