Daming Lake has a long history. The name of the lake has been in writing for more than 1,400 years. As early as the Northern Wei Dynasty, the famous geographer Li Daoyuan wrote " It is recorded in "Shui Jing Zhu·Jishui Zhu": "The Luo River flows to the north and becomes Daming Lake, to the west is Daming Temple, and to the east and north of the temple are lakes."
