Liu Zongchao's personal data

Liu Zongchao was born in June 1970 in Panzhuang Village, taoyuan town, Feicheng City, Shandong Province. 1987 After graduating from junior high school, he was admitted to Feicheng Normal School with the third place in the county. 1990 After graduation, he was admitted to the Chinese Department of Liaocheng Normal University. After graduation, he was assigned to work and exercise in Taian paper mill. 1995 transferred back to Liaocheng Normal University to teach. 1999 was admitted to the Art College of Hebei University and became one of the few calligraphy graduate students in China. After obtaining a master's degree, he was admitted as a doctoral student in art by Southeast University.

Liu Zongchao grew up at the foot of Mount Tai, studied in the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, and now teaches at Hebei University. The cultures of the three places nourished him and his artistic creation.

Calligraphy is good at cursive and regular script, and his works are collected by many cultural institutions. Invited to successfully hold an exhibition of personal calligraphy and seal cutting works in Tokyo. His works have participated in many national exhibitions and have been exhibited in major countries in Southeast Asia and Europe. He has published personal monographs in recent years: Modern History of Calligraphy in China, Reflection on Modern Innovation and Change of Calligraphy in China, Plastic Arts and Its Spirit in Han Dynasty, Stone Relief Art: Masonry Spirit, Calligraphy Appreciation, Selected Works of Liu Zongchao, and co-authored Sixty Years of New China Calligraphy. Won the first prize of the 7th National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition and the 9th National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition Forum, and was nominated for the 2nd China Calligraphy Lanting Award. The achievements of professional teaching and research mainly include: Undergraduate Teaching Plan of Calligraphy Specialty, Theory of Training Mode of Calligraphy Learning Ability, and Training Method of Ability Training Unit in Calligraphy Teaching.
