The "Xuanzhi Youxuan" stele, also known as the "Snow Capsule Stele", was built in the 37th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1559) and is located in Qishanguan Village, Lixin Township. This stele stands in a simple and elegant stele pavilion, with a height of 3.13 meters, a width of 1.18 meters and a thickness of 0.42 meters. The front of the stele is engraved with the four characters "Zhixuan Youxuan", along with the inscription of Xue Lingzi, the year and month when the stele was erected and the names of some craftsmen. A list of those who erected the monument is engraved on the back.
According to the "Revision of Laiwu County Chronicles" in the 24th year of the Republic of China: "Xue Lingzi's surname was Su Mingzhou, a native of Qixian County, Henan Province. He was good at calligraphy and poetry. During the Jiajing period, he lived in Shanzuo and traveled to Zhanglai. ”
Qishan Temple originally had the Sanqing Hall and the Jade Emperor Hall, which is a place with beautiful mountains and clear waters and charming scenery. When Xue Lizi came here to travel, he creatively arranged the Taoist "Xuan Zhi Yong Xuan" into "Zhi Xuan Yong Xuan" and wrote cursive writing on the stele. Among them, the point of the character "Zhi" is like a dragon's head, and the bar extends downwards, with a length of 2.62 meters. The three characters "Xuan Youxuan" are on the left side of the bar. The brushwork is ancient, the style is bold, like a dragon turning its tail, and the meaning is profound. At first glance, it looks like a wild and strange thing, but if you look closely, you will see that the sword has a hidden edge. It is unpredictable and indescribable. It has been designated as a municipal-level key protected cultural relic.
