I don't think anyone is familiar with Wang Xizhi, a famous book saint in China history. In high school, we also learned to recite the Preface to Lanting Collection, and experience the romantic life in Wei and Jin Dynasties among the mountains and rivers of the book sage.
His masterpiece Preface to Lanting is known as "the best running script in the world". In the history of calligraphy, he and his son Wang Xianzhi were called "two kings". However, if we really look at history carefully, we will find that Wang Xizhi's life is actually a big mystery. Later generations don't seem to know much about him, except that he is a charming and talented person.
There were two major "gang" struggles in the Eastern Jin Dynasty: Wang Dao and Yu Liang, Huan Wen and Yin Hao. Wang Xizhi, as a member of the Wang family, should be on the side of his own family. However, his positioning has been a bit confusing. As a result, he suffered a lot in the struggle between the two factions. Finally, because I struggled in the whirlpool for too long, I was disheartened and lived in seclusion in the mountains.
First of all, talk about the mystery of Master Shu.
Wang Xizhi's ancestral home is in Langya, which is now the southeast of Shandong. Later, his family moved to Yinshan Huiji, which is what we now call Shaoxing, Zhejiang. His father's name is Wang Kuang, and he is the cousin of Wang Dao, a cattle man in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. At that time, at the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, Yuan Di and Si Marui had not crossed the river south. One day, he and Wang Dao were in the house to discuss what to do.
It's supposed to be confidential, and others are smart enough to avoid it. But Wang Kuang happened to be eavesdropping outside, and eavesdropping was forgotten. He also suddenly spoke and asked the people outside the window. Do you want to plot evil? I'm going to report you now Now, all the conspirators got a fright, ran out and dragged him into the house.
That's how Wang Kuang joined the team, and as soon as he came, he made great achievements. He suggested going to Jiangdong. He used to be the magistrate of Danyang, and he was very familiar with the south, which he thought was a good place to stand. Si Marui and Wang Dao finally decided to lead troops across the river. So to a certain extent, Wang Kuang's adult can also be regarded as the founding minister of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
In 309 AD, Sima Yue sent Wang Dao to rescue "the danger of Huguan". Unfortunately, however, the next year, the army was ambushed by Liu Cong in Changping, south of Huguan. At that time, 400,000 Zhao prisoners were killed. Finally, the Jin army was defeated, two generals died, and Wang Kuang was nowhere to be found.
Theoretically, Wang Kuang died for his country. Anyway, he was a martyr and made contributions to the founding of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Strangely, however, Yuan Di Si Marui didn't posthumously grant him, and his cousin Wang Dao kept silent about it. Asked about Wang Xizhi, he also fooled.
Wang Kuang thus "disappeared" from the earth, and he didn't know where he "crossed".
The second mystery is the life experience of Wang Xizhi.
Wang Xizhi was already a "superstar" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and his popularity was absolutely no less than that of our current "King of Heaven" and "Queen of Shadows". But strangely, many people who are not as famous as him have detailed lives, and the traces of life are accurately located without any deviation. However, our scholar is like a flying fairy, who doesn't know when to fall into the mortal world, let alone when to return to his "heavenly palace".
It is generally believed that he was born in 303 AD and died in 36 1 year, eight years after Lanting gathered momentum. However, there is also a saying that he was born in 32 1 and died in 379. The difference between these two statements is 18 years, which is incredible. The main reason for this difference is that the historical records about him are too vague. We can only look for traces of other people's lives from their words and deeds and then piece them together slowly, which will naturally cause a lot of controversy.
This paper adopts the first statement.
The third mystery is Wang Xizhi's childhood life.
When Wang Xizhi was a child, he belonged to the category of "children of princelings". People think that his childhood life should be happy. However, Wang Xizhi's childhood was really a bit miserable.
First of all, Wang Xiao lost his father when he was a child and grew up in a single-parent family. Secondly, Wang Xizhi had epilepsy when he was a child and had seizures almost every year. I didn't know how to cure it later. Moreover, he is introverted and rarely talks, and others doubt whether he has a stutter. In a word, Wang's childhood was not very good.
The turning point of the story is when 13 years old, Wang Xiaozi became a celebrity Wang Xizhi. /kloc-at the age of 0/3, Wang Xizhi went to Jiankang to visit Zhou E. Zhou Hou chatted with him and found that Wang Xizhi was unfathomable and admired him very much. When everyone was eating together, Wang Xizhi sat at the bottom, and no one paid much attention to him. However, Zhou E handed him the roast beef heart first.
At this time, everyone was surprised, and Wang Xizhi began to emerge. At the same time, Wang Xizhi's love field began to be proud. He fell in love with Zhou E's daughter Zhou Ying at first sight, and they fell in love. They spent the happiest and purest six years of their lives.
In 332 AD, Wang Dun led an army to attack Jiankang, and Zhou E became the ghost of his sword. Since the Wangs are the killers of Zhou E, their love affair can only come to an abrupt end and they will never meet again. Four years later, he became Chi Jian's son-in-law, and where was Zhou Ying then?
The fourth mystery is why Wang Xizhi chose to take refuge at home.
When Wang Xizhi grew up, his uncle Wang Dao appreciated him very much and expressed his intention to reuse him. Surprisingly, however, Wang Xizhi made a long history of Yu Liang and went to Wuchang. At this point, Tao Kan was dead, and the battle between Yu Liang and Wang Dao in the court became increasingly fierce. Wang Xizhi abandoned his relatives and threw himself into the arms of the enemy, which puzzled everyone.
He may just want to leave the political center and stay away from complicated political struggles. But now that he has been mixed up in officialdom, it is inevitable that he will take sides and struggle. After the death of Wang, Yu Bing appointed Wang Xizhi as the new Jiangzhou secretariat to make up for the rift with the Wang family. For it, ice kills two birds with one stone:
In this way, Wang Guyou face; Because of his long history, Wang Xizhi is still under his control, and the Yu family has benefited from it.
However, this incident made Wang Xizhi's situation very embarrassing, and his position was even more ambiguous. What makes Wang Xizhi even more embarrassed is that after the Chu operator became the queen, the abbot's adult was bent on the place, so Wang Xizhi's Jiangzhou secretariat position was squeezed down before it was hot.
Now, Wang Daren quit, you let me be an official alone. As a result, your relatives came, and you kicked me out directly. He believes that the Yu family did this for revenge. First they hired him, and then they abandoned him, playing with him, and making him never stand in court again.
Since then, the book saint has attached his feelings to the mountains and rivers, ignoring worldly things.
