Is there really a Dong Fangshuo in the history of the Han Dynasty?

Dong Fangshuo (former 154- former 93) was born in Pingyuan (now Shentou Town, Ling County). Writers of ci and fu in the western han dynasty. Emperor Wu acceded to the throne, recruited wise men, recommended himself by letter, and worshipped him as Lang. Later, he served as a regular assistant minister and doctor in Taizhong. He is witty, witty, witty and clever, and he often laughs and laughs in front of Emperor Wu. He "observes the color at any time and bluntly remonstrates" (Biography of Han Dong Fang Shuo). Emperor Wu was so extravagant that he went to the forest garden. Dong Fangshuo bluntly protested that this is "taking fertile land for the people, lacking the use of the country, taking the industry of agriculture and mulberry, abandoning success and losing things" (The Biography of Han Dong Fangshuo). He once said that political gains and losses were Chen Nong's plan to strive for a strong country, but Emperor Wu always regarded him as a superior and could not be reused, so he wrote Difficult to Answer a Guest and On No Gentleman to express his dissatisfaction with Chen Zhi. Dong Fangshuo's original set of 2 volumes has been lost for a long time; Zhang Pu, an Amin, compiled Oriental Taizhong Collection, which was included in 103 records of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties.

He lost his parents when he was young and was raised by his brother and sister-in-law. Dong Fangshuo was smart, sensitive and studious since childhood. By the time he was in his twenties, he had mastered the poems, books, I Ching and the art of war of Sun Tzu and Wuqi. He is good at fencing, rich in literary talent, eloquent and highly regarded in the village. At that time, Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty vigorously strengthened centralization, expanded the territory, and intended to make great achievements and recruit talented people. Dong Fangshuo wrote to recommend himself: "I am twenty-two years old, nine feet tall, with eyes like hanging beads and teeth like neatly arranged jade shells. I am as brave as a patriotic warrior Meng Ben and as agile as Prince Qing Ji. My honesty is comparable to that of doctors in Qi, and I have more beliefs than believers. I am confident that I can be a competent minister under the son of heaven. " His supercilious and sharp-edged words and deeds surprised Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, so he called it the bus order (managing the petition and imperial edict of hundreds of officials).

I am twenty-two, nine feet three inches tall, with dazzling eyes, bright stars and teeth, courage to contend with Meng Ben, sensitivity to Qing Ji, frankness to Bao Shu, and belief in being born in the end. These are both ability and political integrity, and it is not too much to be listed as the son of heaven. Minister Dong Fangshuo took the liberty of worshipping Ada again and listening.

Dong Fangshuo wrote many works in his life, including Answering a Guest Difficult, On Non-Gentlemen, Sealing Mount Tai, Responsibility and the Wall, and Poems on Examining Children, which was later included in Oriental Taizhong Collection. Sima Qian called him a "funny hero" in Historical Records, and Xiahou Zhan, a native of A Jin, wrote On Dong Fangshuo Painting, praising Dong Fangshuo's noble character, wisdom and humor. Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in Tang Dynasty, wrote this article as a monument. Lingxian county still preserves this monument.

Dong Fangshuo was very dissatisfied. The bus made Lu Feng meager and never met the emperor. In order to get Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to summon himself as soon as possible, he deliberately frightened a few dwarfs who raised horses for the emperor: "The emperor said that you people can neither farm nor fight, and you have no talent for governing the country and ensuring peace, so you will be killed. You still don't hurry to plead with the emperor! " The dwarfs were so scared that they cried and begged for mercy from Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. When Emperor Wu asked why, he called Dong Fangshuo to ask. Dong Fangshuo finally had a chance to face the emperor directly. He said humorously, "I did it because I had to." Zhu Ru is 3 feet tall and I am 9 feet tall, but I earn as much as Dai Lu. I can't support them to death, starve to death! If your majesty doesn't want to reuse me, let me go home. I don't want to waste any more white rice in Beijing. "Dong Fangshuo quips, make Liang Wudi laugh, so he was appointed assistant minister of Jinmamen, and soon he was promoted to assistant minister and squire.

Emperor Wu likes games. In his spare time, he often makes riddles for his followers to guess. Dong Fangshuo will win every guess, his answers will flow, and he will soon be favored. On the other hand, Dong Fangshuo took the opportunity of approaching the emperor to protest to Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty.

In the 3rd year of Jianyuan (BC 138), Emperor Wu planned to set aside hundreds of miles of fertile land in Guanzhong Fiona Fang for hunting and amusement, and build a large-scale Lin Yuan. Most courtiers in the DPRK catered to the emperor's wishes and agreed, but Dong Fangshuo argued and urged, "I heard that modesty and prudence will bring blessings to heaven, and arrogance and extravagance will bring disasters to heaven. Now the Holy Father thinks that the palace is not high and the garden is not wide, so a garden should be built. Imagine that in Guanzhong area, the land is fertile, the products are abundant, the country depends on peace and the people depend on wealth. If the land is zoned as a garden, the country will be poor and the people will lose; Destroying people's graves and demolishing people's houses in order to build Tiger Deer Paradise will make people homeless, sad and tearful, and resent the court. Yesterday, Yin built nine cities and the princes rebelled, King Chu Ling built Zhanghuatai and the Chu people deserted, and Qin Shihuang built Epang Palace, which caused great chaos in the world. We cannot ignore the lessons of the past. " Although Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty didn't want to stop repairing the grove, he appreciated Dong Fangshuo's courage and loyalty. The imperial edict gave him 100 Jin of gold and the official title given by Doctor Taizhong.

The younger sister of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was worried about the princess's elder son, so she was named Zhao Pingjun, which won the favor of Emperor Wu. But he is arrogant, illegal, and kills people after drinking. Ting Wei did not dare to punish according to law, so he asked Emperor Wu for instructions. For legal reasons, Liang Wudi could not explicitly pardon him. So he cried for a pretence, trying to imply that Ting Wei was innocent. The ministers around saw the emperor's intention and pleaded for Zhao Pingjun one after another. Only Dong Fangshuo pretended to be confused and said to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, "The holy king was in power, crying and rewarding his enemies and killing all his flesh and blood. Today's sacred and strict, the world is very fortunate! " This made it difficult for Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to be selfish, and he had to bear the pain and punish Zhao Pingjun according to law.

Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was overjoyed and liked to praise his officials. Once, Emperor Wu asked Dong Fangshuo, "What kind of monarch does your husband think I am?" Dong Fangshuo replied, "The Sage Family has more merits than the Three Emperors and Five Emperors. Otherwise, how could so many sages help you? For example, Shao came to be prime minister, to be an empire doctor, and to be a general, Jiang Ziya ... "Dong Fangshuo called 32 ancient politicians ministers of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty in one breath. His language is cynical, but he puts on a funny face, which makes Emperor Wu want to hate and smile through tears. He hates while laughing, and really feels that he is not as good as the holy king.
