Tips for writing hard-pen calligraphy

I personally have been practicing calligraphy for a long time and have accumulated some experience, which can be roughly divided into the following points. I hope it will be helpful to friends who are new to calligraphy. 1. First, choose a copybook (it is recommended to practice regular script first, Pang Zhonghua’s is pretty good) 2. ‘Lin’. "Lin" means looking at the copybook and writing according to the strokes on the copybook on other paper. This is mainly the strokes of practicing calligraphy. 3. "Copy". "Copy" means to use tissue paper to attach to the copybook and write according to the copybook. This is mainly the structure of practicing calligraphy. Note: It is recommended that novices use pencils when copying, because it is easier to feel the "skeleton" of the characters when writing with pencils, which helps the writer grasp the structure of the characters. 4. After copying for a period of time, you can use a water pen to write. If you have a basic grasp of the structure and stroke characteristics of the characters, you can use a fountain pen. Note: After copying has achieved a certain effect, you must persist and practice calligraphy with patience. After a certain period of time, you will find that the handwriting you wrote before is not very good-looking, or even very ugly. 5. Increase by 1. Pay attention to the different ways of writing the same stroke, and the way of writing the same stroke in different positions. When writing, pay attention to adjusting the size of the characters and try to make them the same size. 6. Improve 2. Pay attention to the different formal ways of writing words that appear in books or in life.
