In the first pair of couplets, "Han Geng" has a feeling of being late for "clearing the mirror", and "looking down at the mirror" Zhuan Xu wrote what he saw when he opened the door. He first described a noise he heard at night: "The wind startled the bamboo", and then flashbacks the scene he saw: "Snow was falling all over the mountain", which was full of ups and downs, poetic and interesting. The necklace continues to write snow, from the air to the ground, especially showing the leisure brought by the morning snow. Communicate the ubiquitous cold through the snow scene to prepare for Hu Jushi's memory. At the end, Yuan An's allusions are used to describe Hu Jushi, and the author's admiration and memory for this wise and prudent Hu Jushi are expressed in an imaginative way.
The couplet in the middle of this poem is a famous sentence about snow scene. Most people will use goose feather catkins (such as Xie Daowen) and broken jade (such as Shi Naian) to write snow scenes. Wang Wei writes snow, and his pen and ink are ethereal, and he feels delicate and layered. The poet started with hearing and wrote that he heard the wind blowing through the window at night; Then write down what you see intuitively: open the door in the morning and find that the snow has covered the hill. The sound of "wind listening to bamboo" and the color of "snow all over the mountain" are closely related to the poet's actions of "listening" and "seeing" through the window, as well as his inner feelings of surprise and sigh, which makes people immersive. The word "empty" in the second couplet describes the dynamics and the state of snowflakes flying in the air; The word "Ji Su" is written quietly, indicating that a thick layer of snow has accumulated on the ground. "Deep alley is quiet" and "wide court is idle", which renders the quiet environment of the deep alley on a snowy night and conveys the poet's mood. The poet showed his thoughts in detail in the snowy night through four verbs and adjectives: "Jing", "Man", "Jing" and "Leisure". Drawing on the artistic experience of predecessors in writing snow, Wang Wei also painted a cold, quiet, silent, light, moving and angry night snow painting by using the expression method of pure feeling and simple ink freehand brushwork.
The theme and artistic conception of this poem have a certain influence on Wei's later masterpieces, such as Poem for a Taoist hermit Chuanjiao Mountain and Mourning Twenty-two People in Autumn Night.
