Introduction to Zeng Zirong

Zeng Zirong, born in Jiangxi, is the executive director of CITIC Art Museum.

In 1990, Zeng Zirong worked as a calligraphy teacher in Xi Shu’s calligraphy school. Until 1998, Xi Shu went to Beijing to establish the Xi Shu Book Club and Xi Shu Bookstore. Zeng Zirong followed Xi Shu to Beijing. In 2004, Zeng Zirong worked on Jimmy’s picture books at Block Culture Company, because Jimmy’s books were all published by Block Culture.

In 2007, he came to Today Art Museum as deputy director Zhang Zikangxian, responsible for the library and art education sectors. Later, Zeng Zirong served as vice chairman of Today Art Museum and editor-in-chief of "Oriental Art" magazine.

In 2016, Zeng Zirong was appointed as the executive director of CITIC Art Museum. In the same year, he began to pay attention to children's art. Because of his work, Zeng Zirong was often invited to cultural institutions and primary and secondary schools to explain the story of Chinese painting to children.

Social activities

On April 20, 2021, Zeng Zirong shared his understanding of horse culture at the 2021 Tianxing Diaoliang Equestrian Jumping Competition, and communicated with equestrian-loving audiences, Horse owners interacted with each other, expanding the public's understanding of equestrianism.

Subsequently on September 23, 2023, Zeng Zirong led the audience into 25 famous paintings handed down from ancient times with the title "Thousands of Miles of Rivers and Mountains, Only Green: The Secret of Chinese Landscape Painting" at the Yangzhou Forum. For many years, he has been committed to the curation, publishing and education of Chinese and foreign art. He has long been setting up art columns on Toutiao, Douban Time, Boya Cloud Classroom and other platforms, with a concise, interesting and fascinating style.
