Introduction of Jiading Bamboo Carving

Jiading bamboo carving is one of the excellent national traditional crafts of Han nationality. Taking a knife instead of a pen and carving bamboo with calligraphy are the main features and traditional skills of Jiading bamboo carving. Jiading bamboo carving artists use knives instead of pens to integrate books, paintings, poems, essays and seals, giving bamboo a new life, making bamboo carving works elegant and unique, and becoming the elegant play of literati and scholars in past dynasties. In 2006, it was selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
