Legend of Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang
Yongzheng wrote "Cibu is covered with clouds, the words are fluent, and the sea opens a strange road", which was included in Jinshan Record in Qing Dynasty. It is said that Yongzheng also wrote a poem, an imperial book and a golden Buddha statue for Jinshan Temple in Beijing. Yongzheng has never been to Jinshan Temple, but he did write couplets, poems and a painted Buddha statue for Jinshan Temple. Why? No one can explain it clearly, so people have produced interesting legends. According to legend, Yongzheng was childless all his life, and it was not until he was in his fifties that the queen gave birth to a daughter, which made him unhappy. Suddenly, I heard that the old lady gave birth on the same day and gave birth to a boy, so she ordered the Chen family to bring it into the palace. After a long time, Chen Jia brought back a baby girl. Mrs. Chen was so angry that she was very ill and soon returned to her hometown in Haining, Zhejiang. I'll be fine soon. Where should I go? In a fit of pique, he went to Jinshan Temple and became a monk. Chen Gelao came to Jinshan Temple in his early years and was unhappy all day. Whenever he has time, he recites scriptures in the Buddhist temple. From his fast-paced recitation, the abbot knew that there must be something unspeakable in his heart. Judging from his walking and behavior, this man is unusual. Chen Ge always doesn't talk to people all day, but also recites scriptures all day. If this situation is allowed to continue for a long time, his heart will not settle down, but will be more disordered or crazy. One day, when Chen Ge was chanting with his eyes closed, the abbot heard his voice chanting and said to him, "It's really impetuous to be so fast. My mind is unclear and my heart is uneasy. What's the point of chanting? " When Chen Ge heard this, he suddenly realized something and thought, "Yes, confusion is the result of hatred, and anxiety is the result of hatred. Since he is a monk, he should be empty. If it is empty, why hate it? " Influenced by Buddhism's tolerance, the hatred of taking children disappeared, and the hatred of dead wife was thrown out of the cloud nine. One year, Jinshan Temple was built into the Great Compassion Building, and the abbot thought, Who wrote the plaque and the couplet? When Chen Ge learned this, he said to the abbot, "Your book will be written by the current emperor (Sejong Yongzheng)." The abbot said, "The Great Compassion Building is an important building of Jinshan Temple. How many places can you rank in the country? There is a saying: the quantity is the highest, and the joint is the second. How can it be reversed? " Old Chen Ge said, "When I came to Jinshan Temple, I didn't express my opinions once. You might as well listen to me this time. " The abbot said, "That's up to you." Chen Ge sent a letter to Beijing in the name of Jinshan Temple. Within a few months, Jinshan Temple received a book couplet written by Sejong Yongzheng: Kindness is full of clouds; Words and expressions are the only way to open the sea. There is also an imperial book and a golden Buddha statue. This looks like a couplet, but it is actually a letter to Chen Gelao, vaguely saying: "You are wearing a cloth in the temple, and I am also wearing a cloth in the capital (Yongzheng is known as the Emperor of Cloth); Although you are not in Beijing, you are in the world. Although I am in Beijing, I am also in the world. Aren't we still together I go in and out of the palace gate all day, and you go in and out of the temple gate all day, but you can't get out. This door is practice! Isn't this the same door? " It is said that Yongzheng's alliance is to hope that Chen Ge will always think of the country and strive for greatness. It is also said that Yongzheng knew that Chen Ge was a monk in Jinshan Temple. He wrote couplets and poems for Jinshan Temple, hoping that Jinshan Temple would be more famous, incense more prosperous, and monks would have a good place to live, which was a compensation for Chen Ge in his later years. Soon after, Ganlong ascended the throne. One day, the wet nurse told him her life experience. Ganlong was shocked and vowed to find his real father. However, you can't look for it in a big way. You can only look for your biological father on the pretext of touring Jiangnan (up to six times before and after). Chen Ge, who was in Jinshan Temple, soon went "crazy" when he heard that Gan Long was going on a southern tour. In Beijing, Gan Long heard that his biological father was a monk in Jinshan Temple, so he went down to Jinshan Temple in the south of the Yangtze River and visited it many times without results. After returning to Beijing, the wet nurse gave him an idea. When Qianlong visited Jinshan for the sixth time, he learned that there were 448 monks in the whole temple, so he ordered people to sew 448 cassocks and hand them to each monk. Jinshan was really busy that day. But the last cassock was not received. Gan Long asked the abbot who had just succeeded. The abbot said, "There is also a crazy monk who is unkempt all day and is not allowed to come out to see the holy master." After Gan Long listened with a grain of salt, he went to check and saw an old monk sitting on a futon in a small meditation room, disheveled and haggard. The abbot told Qianlong: "This old monk is called' Eight × (fork)'. He has been in the temple for many years and his life experience is unknown. " Gan Long looked at the shoes in front of the futon and thought that the old monk was really crazy, so he didn't punish him. After Gan Longnan visited the Palace, he told the nurse about it. The nurse was frightened and said, "Isn't this' Eight x' a' father'? Didn't the inversion of shoes say' children come here' (Jiangsu and Zhejiang dialect pronounced' shoes' as' children')? Didn't this tell you that he is your father? " After that, I suddenly realized that I immediately sent a fast horse to pick up my father in Beijing. Send someone to Jinshan Temple to ask the abbot. The abbot said, "After the Holy Master left, the' Eight X' monk left for some reason." Send it back to Beijing and tell Qianlong that Qianlong regretted it. In fact, the way is not crazy. He just heard that when the emperor's son wants to visit Jiangnan, his son must secretly go to his father. If it is discovered, the country will shake and the people of the world will suffer. If you can't find your biological father, only Gan Long will suffer. If the father denies his son, Chen Ge is the only victim. Chen Ge always wanted to stop the suffering of the people of the world and let the pain be left to himself. At this time, Chen Ge was too old to leave Jinshan Temple, so he came up with an idea: "When you come to Jinshan, you don't have to meet crazy monks. I will only look at the crazy monk. " He is very clear: "When Qianlong returns to Beijing, he must understand the meaning of' upside-down shoes' and' eight x'. I did this to tell my son not to look for it. I became a monk and let my son know the whereabouts of my father, just to meet him. " He also estimated: "Gan Long understood the meaning of' upside-down shoes' and' eight x', and he must have come to see his father, so he left Jinshan Temple temporarily and later came back. For the first time, Qianlong sent someone to find his father, but he didn't find it. This is because the father denies his son. If I send someone to look for it again, my father will be cornered. Smart Gan Long wouldn't be so stupid. He has never been to the south again. This story is a folk legend, which consists of three short stories: "Prince Yongzheng switched the bag", "Ganlong Chen Jia visited Haining" and "Ganlong Jinshan looking for his biological father". It sounds mysterious. Is Ganlong really Chen Ge's son? That's a matter for historians. For our readers, let's regard it as a folklore story. It can really be said: "There are right and wrong things in the story; If the story is not told, it is not, yes and no. "This beautiful legend began with the monk Fahai who did exist in history. Jinshan Temple also has Fahai Cave. It is said that Dahai was the son of the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, and his mother was always a vegetarian during her pregnancy, so the children born in Fahai naturally had high wisdom. Father sent Fahai to become a monk. In the process of tossing and turning, Fahai came to Zhenjiang for training, and the location was Fahai Cave. Fahai accidentally dug up gold in the workshop and handed it over to the court. The emperor remembered its center and gave it to Fahai, so there was a magnificent temple named Jinshan. Therefore, without Fahai monks, there would be no Jinshan Temple. There is also a Bailong Cave in Jinshan Temple. Legend has it that the white dragon in the cave hurts people, and the monks in the temple surrender the white dragon to benefit the people. Bailongdong is not famous for this, but because of the white snake. I refuse to believe that the evil monster has anything to do with the white snake. However, statues of White Queen and Xiaoqing did appear near Bailong Cave, as well as the relief of the legend of White Snake. It's nice to be in the cave. There is a small hole in the cave. It is said that Xu Xian escaped from here, and this hole leads directly to the West Lake in Hangzhou, so there was a second broken bridge meeting. I tried to get into the hole and felt cool, but it was extremely dark inside. It is said that Zhenjiang and Hangzhou are jointly declaring the legend of White Snake as a world cultural heritage. Another story of the legend of the White Snake in Jinshan Temple is the Cishou Tower where Fahai imprisoned Xu Xian. Standing at the top of the tower, Zhenjiang has a panoramic view and Yangzhou can be seen in the north. The newly-built Runyang Yangtze River Bridge floats on the Yangtze River, which is also quite spectacular. The story of the white snake ends here. Jinshan Temple is also called Jiangtian Temple. The name was given by Emperor Kangxi. Kangxi Qianlong visited Jinshan in the south of the Yangtze River six times. Emperor Qianlong's jade brand has been displayed as a landscape in Jinshan Temple like tourists. Some calligraphy lovers say it is a masterpiece in calligraphy. It's just a few broken monuments to me. " When will the bright moon ask for wine from heaven? "Everyone is familiar with Su Shi's song" Water Tune ",and Su Shi also wrote this poem in Jinshan Temple. At this time, Su Shi has lost his ambition of "one river never returns, a romantic figure through the ages". Unsuccessfully, when he was depressed in Jinshan Temple, he left us his thoughts. Su Shi's good friend Fo Yin also has a memorial place in Jinshan Temple. " There is a storm on the Wind Wave Pavilion, which tells the story of Yue Fei. Eighteen gold medals were recalled to Beijing, and the road and heavy rain stopped at Jinshan Temple. I had a dream at night that two dogs barked at each other to solve the problem for the abbot. A wise abbot is a prison. Yue Fei returned to Beijing sincerely, and his son was killed by Qin Heng. Of course, there is also the dashing Liang Hongyu beating gongs and drums to repel the nomads from the army. Unfortunately, due to the diversion of the river, Jinshan has been connected with the land, and it is impossible to imagine the grandeur of the female generals playing drums at that time. Jinshan Park is divided into two sides: one is Jinshan Temple, and the other is the first spring in the world. After a walk, I saw the first spring, which was basically a stinking pool. On the contrary, there is a hibiscus building next to it. There is a famous poem in the Furong Building, which is from Wang Changling. "Luoyang relatives and friends asked each other, Bing Xin in the jade pot. "According to the legend of the Dragon Boat Festival, a white snake practiced for a thousand years and finally became a beautiful and dignified white lady, while another green snake practiced for five hundred years and became a young and energetic Xiaoqing girl. The two of them went to the West Lake to play together. When they came to Broken Bridge, White Snake saw a handsome white-faced scholar in the crowd, and her heart was full of love. Xiaoqing kept quiet and it rained cats and dogs. Xu Xian, a white-flour scholar, came to the lake by boat with an umbrella. He just saw the white snake and Xiaoqing being caught in the heavy rain. Xu Xian was busy giving them an umbrella to shelter from the rain, but he kept away from it, leaving it to rain. Seeing that Xu Xian is so honest and shy, White Snake likes it even more, and Xu Xian also has feelings for the beautiful White Snake. Under Xiaoqing's matchmaking, Xu Xian and Bai Niangzi became relatives and opened a pharmacy in Zhenjiang to cure diseases and save lives, which was very popular among the villagers. However, Fahai, the mage of Jinshan Temple, thinks that the white snake is a kind of devil and will hurt people. He quietly told Xu Xian that the white snake was the incarnation of the white snake and taught Xu Xian how to recognize it. Xu Xian expressed doubts about this. In a blink of an eye, the Dragon Boat Festival arrived, and all people drank realgar wine to ward off evil spirits. Xu Xian forced the white snake to drink realgar wine according to the method of Fahai religion. White snake is pregnant at this time, and she can't refuse Xu Xian. After drinking, she immediately revealed the true shape of the snake, and Xu Xian was scared to death. In order to save Xu Xian, White Snake came all the way to the holy mountain of Kunlun to steal Ganoderma lucidum, regardless of pregnancy. The White Snake and the guards guarding Ganoderma lucidum fought desperately. The guards were moved by the White Snake and gave her Ganoderma lucidum. After Xu Xian was saved, she knew that White Snake really loved herself, and the husband and wife were more loving. However, Fahai still can't tolerate white snakes living on the earth. He tricked Xu Xian into Jinshan Temple and forced him to become a monk. Bai Niangzi and Xiaoqing are very angry. They led the water army to attack Jinshan Temple in an attempt to rescue Xu Xian. They kept making trouble, causing floods, and Jinshan Temple was surrounded by floods. This is the legendary "flooded golden mountain". Fahai also showed great magic. Because she was giving birth, the White Snake couldn't beat Fahai, so she had to escape under the protection of Xiaoqing. When they fled to Broken Bridge, they met Xu Xian who escaped from Jinshan Temple. After the disaster, Xu Xian and Bai Niangzi met at the first broken bridge. They had mixed feelings and couldn't help crying. Fahai was born when the white snake gave birth to his son. He ruthlessly suppressed the white snake under the Leifeng Tower near the West Lake, cursing that the white snake would never return to the world unless the West Lake dried up and the Leifeng Tower fell down. Many years later, Xiaoqing repaired pottery and returned to the West Lake. She defeated Fahai, drained the water of the West Lake, knocked down the Leifeng Pagoda, and finally rescued the white snake.
