What are the similarities between the calligraphy of Three Songs and Three Songs?
After the Yuan Dynasty entered the Ming Dynasty, the first representative figure in the book circle was the "Three Songs". Comparing the calligraphy of "Three Songs", we can find some similarities between them. First, although they did not jump out of the category of calligraphy, they paid more attention to the statutes of calligraphy than calligraphers in Song and Yuan Dynasties. For example, Song Ke devoted himself to studying Cao Zhang's "Jiwen", and Song Yu was good at Xiao Zhuan; Song Guang's Virtue Essence and Vegetarian Method. In the history of calligraphy, these ancient works with exemplary significance or a certain style of calligraphy reflect the law of calligraphy creation and show the characteristics of calligraphy. However, compared with the tradition of the two kings, the calligraphy of the "Three Songs" relatively weakened the communication of the meaning and rhyme of calligraphy, and paid more attention to the development and form expression of calligraphy momentum. This calligraphy, which emphasizes statutes, pays attention to technical expression and has a strong decorative color. Skillful calligraphy skills and strong style are the same characteristics of calligraphy in "Three Songs". From the standpoint of calligraphy, Zhan criticized "Three Songs" and pointed out the innovative characteristics of "Three Songs" calligraphy. In fact, in the Yuan Dynasty calligraphy where retro art prevailed, "Trilogy" did have a fresh breath.
