How to improve the writing skills of lower grade students

Chinese characters are an important part of the traditional culture of our Chinese nation and the crystallization of the wisdom of our ancestors. Educating students to inherit Chinese character culture and Chinese character writing culture is the starting point for nurturing and developing all cultural, moral and psychological qualities of our people. Strengthening writing education for students is a basic task of basic education, a necessary requirement for improving students' quality, and an important mission given by history. Especially for low-level students, through writing teaching, students' observation ability, memory ability, thinking ability and practical ability can be cultivated. The "Primary School Chinese Teaching Syllabus" clearly states: "Writing is an important basic Chinese skill and plays an important role in improving students' cultural quality. The foundation of writing must be laid from an early age. Strict requirements and strict training are required starting from the first grade." Gradually develop students' writing skills..." For a child who has just entered elementary school, being able to write as quickly and smoothly as adults is what they yearn for. How to overcome the difficulties encountered in writing teaching in lower grades and enable children to quickly master the correct writing essentials? The author believes that the cultivation of children's writing ability should start from the following aspects. 1. Set a good example for students. One of the professional ethics of teachers is to be strict with themselves and be a role model for others. Teachers have exemplary characteristics, and their role model has a special impact on students. "If a person is upright, he will do what he is told not to do. If he is not upright, he will not obey even though he is told." Teachers lead by example, which is a silent command for students. When writing on the blackboard in class and correcting homework, you should pay attention to your writing posture and pen holding posture. Arrange the structure of the characters well, pay attention to the stroke order of the characters, and show students correct Chinese characters one by one. Students have strong "teacher-oriented" and imitative psychological characteristics. Every move, word and deed of the teacher may become the object of imitation by students. During individual tutoring, he puts down the teacher's airs, walks among the students, holds the students' hands and writes, and lets the students watch the teacher write. Invisibly, the teacher turns himself into a mirror. Not only can you strengthen your own writing posture, improve your writing level, and develop good writing habits, but it also allows students to see a living writing specimen, so that students can be educated subtly. 2. Cultivate students’ interest in writing. Writing cannot be mastered overnight, the key is perseverance. We need to make active children enjoy writing and develop good writing habits. We must pay attention to the cultivation of students' interest in writing. Interest is the best teacher, especially for lower grade students. Anything they like will last longer and have better results. According to the age characteristics of lower grade students, I use the following methods to cultivate interest: 1. Vivid and interesting story stimulation. Children love to listen to and tell stories. Through vivid stories, children can understand the truth and learn knowledge. This arouses their love for Chinese characters. A. Stories from the ancients: Wang Xizhi "studied calligraphy in the pond" every day, the story of the clear pond turning into an "ink pond", the story of Zhong Yao from the Three Kingdoms carrying his calf into the mountains to study calligraphy, which taught them diligence; the story of Yue Fei practicing calligraphy on the sand, It makes them learn to strive for self-improvement;... The stories of ancient people studying hard and practicing hard aroused students' interest and are a vivid teaching material for calligraphy practice. B. The story of national pride: In order to let students understand that Chinese calligraphy is the crystallization and treasure of our country’s thousands of years of splendid culture. In writing teaching, we seize the opportunity to tell children the praise of Chinese calligraphy from international friends and the discussions of Chinese calligraphy by famous people, so as to stimulate children's national pride and let them understand that calligraphy is a unique art of our nation. , it is our duty to inherit and carry forward national culture. C. Explain the meaning of characters and write short stories: In order to arouse students' interest in recognizing and loving characters, when analyzing the glyph structure, we write short stories based on each part of the characters and tell them to the students. In particular, some pictographic and meaningful Chinese characters allow students to have a curious exploration of Chinese characters in an active and relaxed classroom atmosphere. 2. Various forms of competition incentives. Competitions can not only mobilize students' enthusiasm for calligraphy practice, but also cultivate students' good sense of competition and collective awareness of cooperation among classmates. A. Homework star rating system: Every time when homework is reviewed, I ask students to compare the written words with the model words, compare them with the last homework, and give corresponding red stars. A summary evaluation will be conducted for each unit. Students with more than 8 red stars will receive a small red flower. At the end of the semester, star assignments will be evaluated and rewards will be given. B. Group competition: In each writing class, groups will conduct writing competitions (including writing postures).

The winning team each gets a "little animal." C. Individual competition: There is a writing competition in each unit. The top three students will be displayed in the learning garden. The students who win the progress award will get a "little animal". In addition, students are encouraged to actively participate in various calligraphy competitions organized inside and outside the school, so that students can see their progress and enhance their self-confidence. 3. Hold exhibitions regularly. Homework exhibitions are held regularly, and well-written student works and excellent calligraphy works from newspapers and magazines are put into the learning garden. Let students see their own value, enhance students' self-confidence, and increase their interest in writing. A good writing atmosphere is formed in the class. 3. Teach students the methods and techniques of writing. 1. Basic strokes. Every word is composed of basic strokes. Therefore, to write a word well, you must write every basic stroke of it well. And every stroke has a starting point, a moving point, and a finishing point. In the first-grade Chinese language teaching, while understanding the basic strokes, students are given strict stroke guidance so that students can lay down solid basic skills. Make a good start for future writing teaching. 2. The radical of a word. Most Chinese characters have their own radicals, and the writing of these radicals has its own characteristics and rules. Once you have mastered the writing of these radicals, you can apply them to characters with these radicals, draw inferences from one instance and draw inferences from another, so that the structure of the characters can be arranged better. 3. The structure of words. The structure of Chinese characters varies. Since the new characters of low-level students are all written in Tianzi grid, students can be required to learn to write well with the help of Tianzi grid. The physical characteristics of Chinese characters are square and there are relatively few single-body characters. The left and right structures have the largest number of characters. Such characters are required to be basically the same height on the left and right, and then look at the specific classification, such as: narrow on the left and wide on the right, wide on the left and narrow on the right, the same height on the left and right, etc. Each part of the left-center-right character structure should be written narrowly and longly. Each part of the characters with an upper and lower structure should also be even, and each part of the characters with a left-center-right structure should be written flat and wide... In every writing, I ask students to do "three things". That is, what you see with your eyes, your hands, and your heart. First, let students observe the structure of the new characters in the Tian character grid. Clarify the proportion and exact position of each word-forming component in the Tian character grid. Guidance in this area requires teachers to spend a certain amount of time and practice repeatedly. According to the difficulty of the glyphs, students can slowly master the glyphs and arrange the structure of the characters according to the difficulty of the glyphs. With the overall understanding, students can write one stroke at a time, that is, they can get it at their fingertips. It should be written in a standardized and accurate manner, and compared with the model words. When you see it with your eyes and with your hands, you need to be careful with your heart. Just stay focused. In this regard, we can also talk about some reasons why calligraphers have a healthy body, so that students can understand that being attentive means being calm and peaceful, so that they can write well. Finally, I developed a Chinese character with personal artistic characteristics. 4. Ensure practice time and teach students in accordance with their aptitude. There are differences in students' ability to absorb knowledge and complete practice tasks. Therefore, I have different requirements for different students. For students who have good grades and complete homework quickly and with high quality, I let them practice hard-pen calligraphy on an ancient poem or article paragraph for two days. Let students use their brains to think about the glyph structure and density of the layout during the writing process. This not only increases students' knowledge, but also cultivates students' innovative abilities. After a year of persistent practice, many students in our class have seen significant changes in their handwriting, forming their own artistic characteristics and unique styles. For students who are slower and have difficulty accepting knowledge, I ask them to complete each assignment carefully, ensuring quality, and then focusing on quantity. Due to the adoption of a method of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the confidence of underachievers has been enhanced, and their writing skills have also been improved. 5. Work together and have strict requirements. It is not easy to develop a good writing habit. The formation of students' habits is a continuous accumulation and spiral process. Therefore, good writing habits cannot rely on a few writing lessons. We must have strict requirements for students. Students are required to write the same thing in class as they do outside of class, and the same thing in and out of school. Frequently publicize the importance of cultivating students' good writing habits to parents, requiring parents to actively cooperate, collaborate with teachers, work together to manage, and carefully check each student's homework. Teachers also report students' recent writing situation to parents in a timely manner, which makes students feel stressed. Gradually reach the state where "habits become natural". Over the years, I have practiced conscientiously, actively discussed and researched, and achieved certain results in cultivating students' good writing habits. The variability of low-level students is still relatively large. I will continue to work hard to strengthen the development of students' good writing habits.

For students who have difficulty in writing, I will focus on providing guidance so that each of my students can write better!
