What cultural landscapes are there in Huqiu Mountain in Suzhou?

Su Dongpo said that it would be a pity not to visit Tiger Hill in Suzhou. Huqiu Mountain has a long history of more than 2,500 years, and enjoys the reputation of "the first scenic spot in Wuzhong".

Most of the scenic spots with Jiangnan charm are small and exquisite, while Tiger Hill looks more grand. The 100-hectare Tiger Hill Scenic Area perfectly integrates various natural and cultural landscapes. It has historical wonders such as hills, strange rocks, cliffs, pools, rock carvings, inscriptions, and ancient buildings. For tourists who love to delve into Chinese history and culture, this place is indeed a treasure.

Grand Canal Heritage Site:

The thousand-year-old canal has long water, and the Huqiu Grand Canal Heritage Site is also a witness in the long history of China.

Looking at the green trees surrounding the mountains and rivers, reflecting the sunshine, it is quiet and far away. The black-topped boat was cruising in the middle of the river. Only then did I truly experience the feeling of people swimming in the painting.

Jianchi: Jianchi?, legend has it that it was written by Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. On the stone cliff on the east side, there are four blue characters engraved with "Feng He Yun Quan", which were written by Mi Fu, a famous calligrapher in the Song Dynasty.

The two most famous scenic spots in Huqiu Mountain are the Huqiu Tower and the Sword Pond. When I got closer to observe, I found a sword standing under the Huqiu Tower. Only the hilt was visible, but the blade was not visible.

It is said that King Helu of Wu was buried with 3,000 swords including Bianzhu and Yuchang, hence the name Sword Pool. This can be said to be the most mysterious place in Tiger Hill. It is said that the opening of King Wu's ruins is here.

Huqiu Pagoda:

Huqiu Pagoda is the first leaning tower in China and a symbol of ancient Suzhou, also known as "Yunyan Temple Pagoda". Many people know Tiger Hill because of the Yunyan Temple Pagoda.

This tower leans but does not fall, so it is called the Leaning Tower of Pisa in China. This tower has a history of more than 1,000 years. It is the second leaning tower in the world and has become a landmark building in the ancient city of Suzhou. As the only example of this kind remaining in the country, Yunyan Temple Pagoda has a unique position in both architectural science and history and culture. The tower has the 7th floor. The exterior structure is very exquisite. Now you can only watch from the outside without visiting the inside. Walk around the leaning tower and see the scenery from different angles

HanHanquan:

We continued walking and arrived at Hanhan Spring. We couldn’t help but laugh when we saw the word "Hanhan" carved on the stone. We understood after reading the introduction

This is a famous eminent monk from the Liang Dynasty. It was dug by Hanhan, so it was named "Hanhan Spring".

Yongcui Villa:

The only waterless garden in Suzhou, it is built in combination with the natural slopes of Huqiu Mountain. It has a terrace garden pattern and is unique among Suzhou classical gardens.

Coming to the back mountain of Tiger Hill, there is dense vegetation and abundant trees. A group of mountain birds are flying around the tower, which is spectacular. A small waterfall flows down, and the stream flows continuously. Two or three people are either going down or taking pictures. It really made me feel like I was seeing something out of the clouds. And being in Huqiu makes me feel very seclusion.

Although Tiger Hill is not as exquisite as those Suzhou gardens, it has the atmosphere of a military commander. Built according to the hill, it is integrated with the hill. Moreover, the kind of Jiangnan house leads to a winding and secluded road. The road seems to be similar to the pavilion, but it may not be accessible. At the end of the cobbled road, there may not be a village with dark flowers and dark flowers. This is vividly demonstrated in Tiger Hill.
