Sima Yao's anecdotes and allusions

According to historical records, Sima Yao's birth is quite miraculous. There are different versions of this statement. The Book of Jin records that Sima Yu, the king of Huiji, was in his forties, his son Sima Daosheng was deposed, Sima Yu also died, and all his other sons died early. So he was in a hurry and tried his best to have a son. Finally, the fortune teller was asked to visit the concubines. As a result, the fortuneteller took a fancy to Li Lingrong, a tanned handmaid, and Sima Yu asked her to be a maid. Li Lingrong dreamed of Ssangyong's pillow countless times and fell into his arms day by day. Later, I really gave birth to the Sima Yao brothers and Poyang princess royal. It is said that on the eve of Sima Yao's birth, Li Lingrong dreamed that a fairy said to her when she was pregnant, "You gave birth to a man with a long life." When the east is clear in the delivery, Chang Ming is a word. Sima Yu once saw the prophecy of "golden prosperity". When Sima Yao was born, he really took longevity as the word, and he couldn't help crying and said, "I didn't expect our Sima family's prosperity to be like this!"

"Taiping Jing" records a Taoist named Puyang, and Sima Yu, the king of Huiji, once asked him to be the heir. In the middle of the night, the yellow gas started from the southwest and fell far into the room. Then Li Lingrong became pregnant with Sima Yao.

It is recorded in Zhen Ming Grant, Volume 8 of Zhen Yan Patent, that on June 23rd, the fifth year of the Heiping Dynasty (36 1), when Sima Yu sought an heir, four real people in a row bowed down, among them, Mrs. Wei Zifu said: "The shadow is subtle and feels exquisite. Wash luxury and pay attention to Debike Chang. " Later, the name "Yao" and the word "Changming" were found in his wife's poems. Sima Yao, a filial emperor, has a reputation for worshipping Buddha. When the King of Shiziguo (now Sri Lanka) heard about it, he sent Shaman Tanmo to pay tribute to the Jade Buddha. After more than ten years' journey, he arrived in China during the reign of Andi Yixi. It is said that this jade Buddha statue is exquisite, "four feet two inches high, clean and moist in jade color, unique in shape and almost artificial", and is praised as one of the "three wonders" by the world.
