At this critical juncture, all police officers of Hainan Provincial Public Security Bureau and * * * County Public Security Bureau were dispatched urgently to organize people in the low-lying areas on both sides of the Chabucha River to evacuate from the danger zone. At that time, Zhang Haijun had a cold and a fever, but he resolutely took part in the rescue work. He and two other comrades formed a group and went to Ren Minqiao to inform the masses to move. At 23: 30, they arrived at the designated place and went door to door to inform the masses. At 23: 45, when they knocked on the door of the fifth family, the front peak of the flood had been mixed with trees and sand, and suddenly blocked the water hole under the bridge, and the water overflowed from the bridge deck. Zhang Haijun and two comrades-in-arms immediately ran to the bridge to check the water situation, only to see a row of higher waves coming towards the bridge. Just then, there was a cry for help from the street on the downhill side of the West Bridge. I saw a few people struggling in knee-deep water, and the situation was very critical. Crossing the bridge to save people will be swallowed up by huge waves at any time; If you don't save people, you will watch the people being swept away by the flood. A strong sense of responsibility drives them to put aside their personal safety and resolutely rescue people in danger. Three people ran desperately to the west of the bridge in knee-deep water. At this moment, a row of 7-or 8-meter-high waves approached the bridge, but Zhang Haijun tried his best to run to several people in the west of the bridge who were about to be washed away by the flood. When he was just holding the hand of the masses to rescue him, the ruthless waves swallowed Zhang Haijun and the masses together. On the morning of 28th, after the flood receded, comrades-in-arms found the body of Comrade Zhang Haijun in the Woods under Bridge No.3.. Zhang Haijun loves people infinitely. 1Feb. 990, Zhang Haijun went to Bagou Township, Tongde County to engage in social education. One day, the cook in the village suddenly vomited blood, and the doctor diagnosed it as stomach bleeding and needed to be sent to the state hospital for surgery. The cook was born in poverty, and when he heard that he was going to have an operation, he cried in embarrassment. Zhang Haijun did not hesitate to spend 100 yuan on meals and pocket money to buy two tickets and sent them to the state hospital. Take care of him like a relative after the operation. Deliver meals to patients from home during the day and stay at the bedside in a fur coat at night. I took care of the patients for more than a month until they were able to go to the fields. Ten days before Zhang Haijun died, the cook came to his house to thank him for saving his life. 199 1 May, Zhang Haijun went to work in China Railway Township, Xinghai County. In the village where he lived, a herdsman suffered from severe liver echinococcosis. It is more than 200 kilometers away from the hospital. Zhang Haijun accompanied the patient on the rugged mountain road for more than five hours before reaching the hospital.
