1. Hubei Academy of Fine Arts is the only higher art institution with multi-disciplinary categories and multi-academic levels in Central China. The school's predecessor was Wuchang Art School, which was founded in 192, and was later named "Private Wuchang Art College" (referred to as Wuchang Art College). As one of the earliest art colleges in China, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts is an important birthplace of modern higher art education in China. In its 9-odd years of running history, it has always adhered to the academic spirit of "eclecticism" and the teaching concept of "compatibility and interaction", and trained generations of outstanding talents who have served the society with "devotion to morality, devotion to study, sensitivity and beauty", making a unique contribution to the development of fine arts in China.
2. At present, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts has two campuses, hidden dragon island and Tanhualin, covering an area of more than 7 mu, and there are about 8, students at all educational levels.

Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, as one of the first batch of 32 MFA education pilot units in China, now has four provincial-level research centers, including Hubei Modern Public Visual Art Design Research Center, IFA Fashion Art Research Center, Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, Chu Art Research Center and China Southern Pre-Qin Art Form Research Center, with nine research institutes; At present, there are 3 specialty construction sites in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, 2 national excellent courses, 1 national experimental area for innovation of talent training mode, 1 "pilot project of professional reform" in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, 1 national training plan for innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, 1 national off-campus practical education base project for college students, 2 national excellent resources * * * projects, and provincial "quality engineering" and "undergraduate teaching engineering" projects in Hubei Province.
