Wang Chengdian is a director of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a national first-class artist, chairman of the Shandong Artists Association, and a visiting professor at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. A native of Linqu, Shandong Province, he graduated from the Chinese Department of Qufu Normal University and the Fine Arts Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Art Academy. He once served as secretary of the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee, theoretical teacher, secretary of the Commune Party Committee, deputy director of the Municipal Party Committee Office, deputy secretary of the County Party Committee, director of the Municipal Culture Bureau, editor of "Qiushi" magazine, director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, deputy regional commissioner, and deputy director of the Provincial Department of Culture Chairman, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
For more than 20 years, he has worked in "People's Daily", "Wenhui Po", "China Culture News", "China Art News", "Chinese Art", "Art World", and "Dazhong Daily" Hundreds of calligraphy and painting works have been published in newspapers and magazines, and they have participated in many domestic and foreign calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won awards; their calligraphy and painting works have been collected by art museums in Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions.
