Suxianling Scenic Area is one of the first batch of provincial-level scenic spots announced by the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The main peak is 526 meters above sea level. It has been known as "the 18th blessed place in the world" and "the resort of southern Hunan" since ancient times. Suxian Ridge is famous at home and abroad for the magical and beautiful legend of Suxian. There are "immortal" sites on the ridge such as Bailu Cave, Shengxian Stone, Wangmu Pine, etc. The natural landscape has long been famous. "Traveling to Shasha. Chenzhou Hotel" written by Qin Shaoyou, postscript by Su Dongpo and written by Mi Fu was engraved on the rock wall of Suxianling and was known as the "Three Unique Monuments" in history. Tao Zhu came to Chenzhou for inspection in 1965 and wrote "New Journey to Shasha". After the Xi'an Incident, General Zhang Xueliang was imprisoned here and wrote the famous line "I hate that the sky is low, but the great roc has wings and it is difficult to spread them". In 1997, Suxianling invested more than 6 million yuan to build a tourist aerial ropeway. Sitting on the ropeway and looking around, you can have a panoramic view of Chenzhou.
From the foothills to the top of Suxianling, there are Taohuaju, Bailu Cave, Sanjue Monument, Scenery Star View, Bazi Ming, Agarwood Stone, Suxian Temple and other viewing and tourist places. Taohuaju is the starting point for tourists to climb. It is backed by green mountains and faces the Taohua River. It is surrounded by lush green bamboos and shaded trees, creating an elegant and unique environment.
White Deer Cave is above Taohuaju. The cave is spacious, with a rocky roof and ferocious rocks. Outside the cave, there are vines and lush jungles. Legend has it that white deer and white cranes nursed Su Dan here and protected him from the cold. At the entrance of the cave, there are sculptures of two white deer, big and small, mother and son kissing each other step by step, the image is lifelike. There are peach blossoms and flowing water in front of the cave. There are three artificial sculptures of white cranes on the stream. They have different postures and are naturally interesting.
About 100 meters up the stairs from Bailu Cave, there is a stele-protecting pavilion with cylindrical green tiles and horns and cornices. There is a natural stone wall more than 4 meters high in the pavilion, with a cliff stone stele on it. This is the "Three Jue Monuments". The so-called "three unique things" are: Qin Guan's poem "Tasha Xing. Chenzhou Hostel", the postscript written by the great writer Su Shi and Mi Fu's calligraphy. Suxian Temple stands at the top of Suxian Mountain. It is a Song Dynasty architectural style temple with carved beams and painted buildings, green tiles and red railings. It is majestic and solemn. It is the main attraction of Suxian Mountain. The whole building has three main halls, divided into upper, middle and lower halls, with side halls on both sides. The two small rooms in the northeast corner are the confinement of the famous patriotic general Zhang Xueliang, now known as "General Qu's Room".
