The word Chinese has a special feeling for us: in China, the most widely used language is Chinese, and the characters are Chinese characters. Therefore, before learning Chinese characters, we might as well talk about this Chinese character and explore its original meaning and evolution.
The traditional Chinese character of the Han Dynasty is "Han", and Shuo Wen Jie Zi says: "Yang is also the water of surging waves in the east. Without water, it is difficult to keep sound. " Shuo Wen Tong Xun is interpreted as "the mountain in the north of Ningqiang House (now ningqiang county) in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province is Yang, and the mountain in the west of Nanzheng County is Han, now called the Eastern Han River, which flows eastward to the famous Cangshui in Xiangyang House (now Xun County) in Hubei Province, and then flows southeast to Hejiang in Hankou, Hanyang County, Hanyang House."
Chinese characters come from water, so the original meaning is related to water, that is, a river named "Hanshui", also known as "Hanjiang River", is the largest tributary of the Yangtze River, with a total length of 1.532 km. The words "rivers meet the Han Dynasty" in the Notes on Water Classics refer to the Han River and the Han River. Shang Gong said, "The tomb is full of people, and it flows to Han in the east, and the water in the blue waves in the east."
This means that the source of the Hanshui River is called overflow water, which flows eastward and is also called Canglang River when facing east. One water and three people, just like the Hubei section of the Yangtze River is called Jingjiang, and its downstream is called the Yangtze River.
Running script is one of the main styles of Chinese characters, which sprouted in the Han Dynasty and took place in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi produced an artistic and exemplary running script style. In the more than 1000 years after the middle Tang Dynasty, it developed and formed a unique artistic style.
Running script is a new style after regular script, and it is one of the six general principles. Six calligraphy styles, namely seal script, official script, cursive script, regular script, running script and horse script. Among the six major calligraphy styles, the first five are ancient calligraphy styles, and Ma Calligraphy Style is a new book style independently created by contemporary calligraphers, also known as Ma Calligraphy and Ma Calligraphy, which is the sixth calligraphy style in the history of China calligraphy.
