The calligraphy level examination will be held on the second Sunday in May and November.
Calligraphy grading:
1. Log in to the Calligraphy Grading Center of China Calligraphers Association. Those who apply for the hard-pen calligraphy level examination for the first time cannot exceed level 6, and those who apply for it step by step above level 6.
2. Download the application form, fill in or print the rating application form clearly and accurately, with one copy for each person.
3. If you report to the examination center and fail to take the examination within the specified time after registration, you will be exempted from refund.
4. Those who do not have an examination permit or whose examination permit does not conform to their identity are not allowed to enter the examination room.
5. Take the exam: Candidates must take the exam at the time and place specified in the exam permit and consciously abide by the exam discipline.
6. Examination time: twice a year (June and December). Registration time: generally two months in advance.
Requirements for calligraphy examination:
1. Instruments required by candidates for the examination: pen, ink, paper, felt, pen washer, and writing tools for measuring ruler.
2. Examination pen: writing brush. In addition, pens, signature pens and pencils with blue and black handwriting are required (used to fill in candidates' information such as name, grade, title number and age in the lower right corner of the back of the work).
3. Paper for works: White Xuan paper (with no content on the paper) shall be used. Before the exam, it shall be decided according to the paper specifications of the reported grade, and the number shall not exceed 1 sheets. The specifications of works that are not required can be customized.
4. Work requirements: It is not allowed to write the name and seal the inscribed content in the temporary and creative works, and it is replaced by the specified content. There must be no typos or missing words in the works; Answer writing should be neat (no alteration, no scribbling); No marks are allowed on the surface of the paper, otherwise the paper will be invalid.
5. On-the-spot copying and creation examinations are adopted at all levels, among which the theoretical knowledge in grades 7 to 9 is assessed by written examination (first, the theoretical knowledge is assessed, and then the skills are assessed after unified winding).
There are three systems for the calligraphy level examination. One is the China Calligraphy Level Examination sponsored by Beijing Education Examinations Institute, the other is the calligraphy level examination sponsored by the Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture, and the other is the social calligraphy level examination sponsored by the Calligraphers Association. The former is approved by the education department and the latter is approved by the Ministry of Culture.
