1. Correct understanding

A. practice every day

Besides normal homework, students should be given proper calligraphy exercises every day. There's not much time, three or five minutes. The requirement of practice is: copy three to five lines of English sentences every day. Ask the students to determine the content of the sentence, which can be a paragraph of the article or a classic sentence. This can not only achieve the purpose of practicing Chinese characters, but also improve students' interest in English and enhance their perception of English language.
B. Regular inspection
Three to five minutes a day sounds easy, but it's hard to do. At first, students are relatively fresh and can persist for a few days, but it is generally difficult to persist without proper supervision means. Therefore, teachers should supervise regularly. Whether it's good grades or poor grades. Especially those who have poor grades but have made great progress in calligraphy. Such praise can improve their interest in learning English, because they are seldom praised. Third, those students who have made little progress and have obvious writing difficulties. Communicate with them alone and review them alone. Point out the bad reasons and help them make progress next time.
D. calligraphy competition
In order to fully arouse students' enthusiasm for learning English and practicing calligraphy seriously, the author adopted different forms of English calligraphy competitions. There are various forms of competitions, which can be words or sentences, but most of us use writing articles. The results of each competition will be written into the students' growth portfolio and posted on the list, and the works will also be posted in the school window, so that all students can enjoy learning. When appropriate, some awards will be given for material incentives.
E. Examination plus points system and deduction system
Practicing beautiful calligraphy will benefit you for life in the long run. Of course, the ultimate goal of students' practice is to do well in the exam, and they can get higher scores in writing during the exam. Therefore, grasp the students' psychology and use it appropriately. During the exam, the author discussed with the teachers in this group that in order to stimulate and improve the enthusiasm of students to practice writing ability, we will give extra points to students who do well in the exam and those who write beautifully. Similarly, for those students with poor attitude and poor writing, points will be deducted, and the reasons for the extra points and points will be explained on the test paper.
