How to cultivate students' ability to copy block letters with a brush?

The ancients said, "Beginners are nothing more than copying. If you are near a book, you will get your meaning, and if you copy a book, you will get it. " In other words, just learning to write Chinese calligraphy should start from copying. Seven meanings are to learn the essence and experience of predecessors' calligraphy from inscriptions, learn the methods of calligraphy, understand the structure of bookshelves, lay the foundation for writing, and constantly improve the writing skills. Therefore, copying is recognized as a shortcut and effective method to practice calligraphy, which is especially important for beginners. Copying is divided into the following processes: tracing red-imitating shadow-pasting shadow. So, how to improve the teaching effect of tracing red, imitating shadow and pasting?

First, understand the usage of words.

To copy, you need to use the word grid. Before you talk about copying, you must explain to the students how to use a clear word grid. There are usually four kinds of grids for practicing writing brush: hollow grid, Jiugong grid, Tian Zige grid and Mi Zige grid. Hollow square and field square are suitable for people who have basically mastered the stippling and structure of Chinese characters, and Jiugongge is generally used for amplification. For beginners, Mi Zige is the most suitable.

Mi Zige consists of four sideline lines, two straight lines and two diagonal lines. The four edges are the upper edge, the lower edge, the left edge and the right edge. The horizontal line in the middle is called the horizontal centerline, the vertical line in the middle is called the vertical centerline, the diagonal line from the upper left corner to the lower right corner is called the right diagonal line, and the diagonal line from the upper right corner to the lower left corner is called the left diagonal line. The vertical center line can be used as a reference for vertical pen writing, and the more important role is to check whether each word is symmetrical and the center is stable; The horizontal center line can be used as a reference when writing a horizontal map, and whether the upper and lower parts of the text are arranged properly. The diagonal line on the right is mainly used as a reference for the direction of painting and lifting; The left diagonal is mainly used as a reference for the sketch direction. Seen from the whole of Mi Zige, a square is divided into eight triangles, so that it is easier to see the start, stroke and setting of each stroke, and it is convenient to practice calligraphy.

Second, carefully paint it red and learn to write in the center.

"Painting in red" means that the original words are filled in by the pen. Because the original word is printed in red, it is called "painting red". This is a common method used by students who have just started to learn to write Chinese calligraphy. In teaching, students are first required to write in the order of strokes, and can't scribble. The brush and nib must be in the middle of stippling (center operation). When writing, the pen must be perpendicular to the paper, the palm of your hand should be perpendicular, and the wrist muscles should be flat. Learn how to write, move and close the pen by tracing red, gradually understand the morphological characteristics of the text, and master the writing method.

Third, accurately imitate shadows and master the frame structure of words.

"Imitation" means covering the template with transparent paper, and then writing one by one according to the displayed handwriting. Draw the words on the post first, double hook them into hollow words, and then cover them with imitation paper to write. Now many textbooks omit this process and print hollow characters directly. Students can further understand the stroke characteristics, stroke methods and font style of model words only by filling the hollow words with ink on the post. In the whole process of copying posts, students are required to master the font shelf of words and stimulate their interest in writing. When copying, we must put forward the following points for attention to students: ① When copying, we should see the shape of strokes clearly and think of the writing method of strokes and the structure of fonts; (2) Copy the double-hook character, write a stroke for each stroke, and try to fill the "hollow" as much as possible. Don't write boundaries, fill them in, repair them, change them, and follow them casually.

Fourth, read more and remember more, and improve through repeated training.

"Affinity" is an important way to learn writing. The concrete steps are: reading, thinking, writing, comparing and improving.

Look: look, it is to observe the copybook carefully and deeply, which is also called reading copybook. The sentence "half the words can be understood" is very reasonable. A copybook is like a teacher. Mr. Shen said: "There is no way outside the words, and the law is in the words." The teacher can't speak, and the methods are all in it. He must ask himself to take the initiative to ask for advice. This is "reading posts". In teaching, students can be asked to "read posts" from three aspects: focusing on the whole and grasping the font; Look at the strokes and know the characteristics of stippling; Look at the relationship between strokes, find out the structural characteristics, read more, really master the writing characteristics of the post, and then memorize it, and then post it in a clear mind.

Two thoughts: on the basis of reading, I want to deeply analyze the structure and stroke order of Chinese characters, how each stroke starts, strokes and closes, the speed of strokes, the weight of strokes, lifting, pressing, fast, slow and changing.

Writing: Writing is the key to posting, which is carried out after careful reading and repeated thinking. When writing, do "eye to eye, mind to opponent", that is, look carefully with your eyes, concentrate with your mind, and write patiently with your hands. Correct attitude, and strive to achieve the basic requirements of "mastering the font without distortion, grasping the center of gravity without skew, grasping the proportion and positioning, distinguishing the density and seeking change".

When writing, you should start with big characters, use the pen in the center, and strengthen the strength training of big horizontal, vertical, left and right strokes. The word diameter is generally not less than five centimeters, so that training can achieve the effect of pen modeling.

When you start posting, you must write slowly. You can read and write one stroke at a time, gradually read and write half, and write one word at a time.

Contrast: Compare with copybook from the relationship of font, stippling and strokes. Mainly compare the following aspects: ① How does the center master the stroke, and whether it is accurate to start, stroke and receive the stroke; (2) How to master the lifting pressure of thick and thin strokes; ③ Whether the gesture shape is similar to the copybook; (4) Whether the structural proportion, collocation, layout and antithesis of characters are accurate; ⑤ Whether the stroke form is consistent with the copybook. Through comparison, find out the gap with the standard characters, find out the sick pens and faults of your own characters, and combine reading posts with temporary posts to further remember the glyphs.

Fifth, improve: carry forward your achievements in comparison, find out the gaps, and then revise and write repeatedly as required to improve your writing ability and skills.

In addition, it should be noted that posting should start from block letters, from reading posts, from strengthening basic skills training, and practicing with appropriate posting methods. When posting, we should also do "three fixings and one diligence": fixing posts, timing, centering, studying hard and practicing hard. "Dinggang" means choosing copybooks (pupils usually choose Liu-style or Yan-style copybooks) and determining the model. You can't change your mind, your goal is too high, and you can change jobs at will. "Timing" must be adhered to for a certain period of time every day, so as to ensure the practice of calligraphy for a certain period of time. Don't teach for a day, persevere, form a habit, and never let yourself get cold. "Centering" means to calm down, calm down and concentrate when posting, and never be half-hearted. Copying is the only way to write good words. The key is to study hard and practice hard. Words are written and practiced, not just from calligraphy classes or reading one or two books. Of course, a good calligraphy class or reading some enlightening books can also play an important role, but the decisive factor is people's efforts, diligent study and hard practice, and persistent writing. Therefore, teachers must also ask students to make full use of their usual spare time, spare time or holidays, and squeeze out time to practice hard.

Long-term use of the above learning methods, such as painting red, imitating shadows and pasting posts, will certainly cultivate and improve students' writing ability, promote them to develop good writing habits, and truly achieve the purpose of cultivating interest, cultivating sentiment and carrying forward the traditional culture of the motherland.
