Han Dynasty Stone Relief Collection-Stone Relief in the First Year of Yuanjia

1973 was unearthed in Qiancun, Cangshan County, Shandong Province in May. The inscription is divided into two pieces, one is 48 high, 22 wide and 22 cm thick, and the other is 48 high, 0/6 wide and 44 cm thick. Two stones are coherent, fifteen lines and twenty-seven words, accounting for 328 words. Word diameter1.7cm. Read first, then engrave, and the knife is close to the pen. Carving methods can be divided into single-sided knife, double-sided knife and single hand.

Cangshan stone carvings unearthed in the world are short, so little is known. There are not many critics about its artistic style. This book is naturally engraved, without any man-made shortcomings. Although there are many flat pens on the pen, the combination of the two is the main one. The horizontal pen is characterized by heavy left and light right, and the waves are not obvious. It is heavy and not dull. Although the vertical pen is light in writing, it has no frivolous feeling. Skimming is particularly lively, with light strokes and heavy strokes appearing alternately. Most stipplings are triangles with more points on the right, such as "fish, horses and birds". The knots are arranged in zigzag, which is strange, handsome and natural. Such as "painting, longevity, thinness" and other long characters, their strokes are not densely arranged, but arranged in a position twice as long as other characters, thus avoiding acute diseases and receiving the effect of thinning. There are often gaps between strokes, but they are disjointed, which is very interesting. The vividness of its composition is also rare in Han steles. In the vertical arrangement, the horizontal correspondence is not considered, but the uneven ups and downs in the vertical writing process are naturally rendered by the number of strokes between words. Judging from the whole article, it has received unexpected artistic effects. (Excerpted from Calligraphy magazine)
