Seal script, one of the ancient Chinese characters, also known as seal script, is a general term for ancient Chinese characters. "Seal makers spread it, spread its physics, and apply it endlessly." The ancients thought that seal script was written by Cang Xie, but this is not credible. It takes a long time for a character to develop, and it is impossible for a person to finish it in a short time.
During the Yin and Zhou Dynasties, the inscriptions carved on Zhongding Yi wares, namely the inscriptions on bronze inscriptions, also known as Zhong Dingwen, were widely popular. After the unification of Qin Shihuang, it was collectively called Xiao Zhuan, also known as Qin Zhuan. The so-called seal script is actually an official script.
Broadly speaking, seal script includes all the characters before official script and their extended genera, such as inscriptions on bronze inscriptions, Shi Guwen, ancient prose of the Six Kingdoms, seal script of Xiao, seal script of Miao and overprint. In a narrow sense, it mainly refers to Da Zhuan and Xiao Zhuan. The font of seal script is round and the structure conforms to the meaning of six books, so Sun said in the Tang Dynasty, "Seal script is graceful and smooth".

It is Li Si's Xiao Zhuan calligraphy handed down from generation to generation. Together with Taishan Stone Carving, Langya Stone Carving and Huiji Stone Carving, it is called "Qinsi Mountain Stone Carving". The stone carving was originally in Shumen, Yishan, Zouxian County, Shandong Province, and was destroyed in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. The existing stone carvings of the Song Dynasty are in Anbeilin, and those of the Yuan Dynasty are in Zoucheng Museum.
