Love bird's calligraphy

Ancient people loved birds.

Waterbirds flew around in horror and sprayed everywhere. Birds sing and the mountains sing together. Birds are "good friends" of human beings and "good helpers" of nature. Since ancient times, our people have loved birds very much. Today, there are still many beautiful stories about loving birds among the people.

Leave the net open on three sides-give the wrong person a way out

When Tang was a vassal, he once went to the wild and saw a man catching birds in the Woods. He also prayed, "Birds from all directions, come into my net!" " "Tang immediately stepped forward to stop and said," Do you want to catch all the birds! "He ordered the man to remove the net on three sides, but he prayed," Birds fly away quickly, those who want to leave turn left, those who want to leave turn right, and those who don't want to leave stay in the net. " This practice of Tang soon spread to other princes, who said admiringly, "Tang's virtue is so high that even animals can benefit from it."

Offer pigeons and set them free

During the Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Jin established Handan as its capital. Zhao Jianzi, the minister of the State of Jin, likes to have turtledoves caught for him and sent to his home during the Spring Festival to let him fly.

On New Year's Day, Handan people came to Zhao Jianzi's mansion in succession. They all came to present the turtledove to Zhao Jianzi, so that Zhao Jianzi could be released. Zhao Jianzi was very happy and gave them a generous reward. On the first day, from morning till night, there was an endless stream of people offering turtledoves.

Zhao Jianzi's doorman stood by for a long time and asked him why he did it. Zhao Jianzi replied: "I let it go on the first day of New Year's Day to show my love and kindness to creatures!" The doorman said, "it's rare that you have such a kind heart for creatures." I don't know if you've thought about it, my Lord. If people all over the country know that you are going to release the turtledove, they will scramble to catch it. As a result, there must be many turtle doves killed and injured! If you really want to release the turtle and save its life, don't catch it without the following order. Just like now, if you reward the people for catching so many turtledoves for you, and then you release them, then your kindness to the turtledoves can't really compensate for the disaster you caused them! " Zhao Jianzi thinks what he said is very reasonable. He not only put the turtledove sent by the people back to the mountains, but also adopted his suggestion and promulgated relevant laws prohibiting bird catching.

Planting trees for birds

Tao Yuanming, a famous poet in Jin Dynasty, loved not only chrysanthemums, but also birds. The pastoral poet who retired to Nanshan and didn't bend over for five buckets of rice deeply realized that birds should also have a place to live. Therefore, Tao Yuanming personally planted trees in front of and behind his house, making birds his "neighbors". Tao Yuanming also wrote a five-character poem: "Xia Meng has long vegetation and green trees outside the house. The birds are very happy to get support. I love my house. " This shows that as long as people are friends with birds, they can have a beautiful environment of "flowers before the moon, birds are always in their ears".

Love birds and be kind to your mother.

Su Dongpo, a bachelor of Hanlin in the Northern Song Dynasty, loved flowers, trees and birds all his life.

One year, Su and his son went south from Sichuan to Beijing and crossed the river by boat. An old friend of Fuzhou gave Su Dongpo a famous landscape bird. Dongpo couldn't put it down, because this rare bird has a red chin and a blue chest. If you want to stay, you are afraid it will be sad from the crowd; I want to let it go, but I'm afraid it will fall into the mouth of bad birds. So I sighed and gave it: "lock the cage all day long, and then cherish Cui Rong." Who knows that the sound is urgent, but also self-interested. Smoke rises at night and morning songs rise to the peak. Therefore, the nest is full of love and the eagle can tolerate it. " The heart of loving birds is on the paper. Finally, he put the lovely bird back into the forest.

Su Dongpo's love for birds stems from his mother's teaching since childhood. Su Mucheng's nature is virtuous, kind and kind. She often says to her children, "Flowers grow on trees and die when they leave the branches; Birds are happy in the forest, but when they leave the group, they are sad. " It is precisely because he did not forget his mother's inculcation that Su Dongpo understood the truth that "if you want to see flowers well, don't fold branches, and if you want to play with rare birds, don't cage them" and became a bird lover.

Sublime or seclusion

Lin Bu, a native of Chu Shi, was born in the Northern Song Dynasty, when the political platform was unstable and wars were frequent. The Zhao brothers first drank a glass of wine to relieve the military power, and then killed their nephews, setting off a bloody crusade to consolidate the kingship from top to bottom. National affairs are unfair and the people suffer. During the period of separation, his parents died early, and young Lin Bu was displaced from place to place, and he tasted the hardships of life and the separation of the world prematurely.

As a teenager, Lin Bu wandered around the river beach all the year round, reading poetry books and walking on Wan Li Road, and he had a profound knowledge of calligraphy. Lin Bu, who grew up in a special environment, gradually formed an elegant and alienated humanistic temperament, and also saw through this chaotic and tragic world. He didn't join the WTO or become an official. After forty, he lived in a secluded mountain in Hangzhou. Twenty years of scholar costume, between green mountains and green waters, completely ended the dust.

According to "Old Records of Gushan", "There are more than 360 plums planted in Lin Bu, and the flowers are considerable and can be sold. Every plum sold in Shi Mei can be used for one day. " At that time, Gu Shan Meilin was surrounded by a pair of buns. When people come, clever children put cranes in the clouds, and cranes spread in dozens of miles. Lin Bu, who was enjoying the scenery, looked up and saw the white crane fluttering, knowing that a visitor had come and returned by boat. Because Lin Bu likes to grow plums and raise cranes all year round, and because he is said to have never been married, the story of "Plum Wife Crane" is circulating.

Zhao niao an Jia

Song Huizong opened a garden called Wanshou Mountain by the lake in the northeast corner of Bianjing. Wanshou Mountain has wonderful flowers and plants and beautiful scenery. The only pity is that rare birds and good birds refuse to settle down in the garden. There are no birds in the quiet mountains, and even the best scenery is boring. How can we revive a dead scene? Song Huizong's brain was broken for this. At that time, there happened to be an old man Xue in Beijing who had a unique skill in bird training. He often performs bird training in the circus, which is very famous. As soon as he heard that the emperor was looking for someone to recruit birds, he volunteered and came to Wanshou Mountain. I saw him scatter birds' favorite food on the ground, and then he took his time, folded his hands in the sky and learned to call all kinds of birds. His cry is very realistic. A bird heard the cry and thought it was a companion, so it flapped its wings and flew ... Groups of birds were invited by the old man to attend a "banquet". Song Huizong didn't let his men catch them, but watched from a distance. Birds are chirping happily while eating. After a big meal, they came and went freely for days on end. Slowly, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no need for old man Xue to recruit birds himself, because birds knew Wanshou Mountain, a good place with mountains, water, forests and grass, and they would invite friends and companions to attract birds from all directions to settle in the garden.

Bird-loving law

In April of A.D. 1323, Yuan Yingzong issued an imperial edict with very strange contents. It is neither a pardon for criminals nor a conscription, but an order for families to "release caged birds". When the imperial edict came out, the people were all surprised. There was a lot of talk in the streets at that time. Later, people learned that the emperor decided to release the captured birds in order to protect them and speed up their reproduction. You know, this is the turn of spring and summer, and it is the best breeding season for birds. In order to encourage people to release birds, Yuan Yingzong also ordered the government to compensate bird owners according to the value of each bird. So on the day of bird release, 654.38+10,000 birds of all kinds were released from their cages. They flapped their wings and flew back to nature. All the birds sang together. The scene is spectacular. This may be the earliest and largest release activity in the world.

Send word to persuade my brother

Zheng Banqiao, a famous painter and calligrapher in Qing Dynasty, was once a magistrate in wei county. One spring, Zheng Banqiao was very sad when he heard that his brother kept thrush in bamboo cages at home. So I wrote him a letter saying that it was unreasonable for you to keep the poor little thrush in a cage for your own happiness! Since ancient times, literati have cherished rare birds and animals. They know how to raise birds-all kinds of trees make hundreds of trees around the house dense and become a bird country. At dawn, listen to a chirp, put on clothes, attract a hundred birds, come and go, too many things to see, can this be compared with your "joy" of a cage and a feather? Zheng Banqiao also copied a poem entitled "Thrushcross" by Ouyang Xiu at the end of the letter. The poem said: "The hundred tones follow, and the flowers and the red and purple trees are high and low. I realized that it is better to sing freely in the forest than to listen to the golden cage. "
