The first couplet praises Lin Huiyin’s talent. The poetry that emerged from her body was as long and flying as the Qianxun Falls.

Lin Huiyin's grandfather was Lin Xiaoxun, who was a Jinshi and served in Jinhua, Xiaofeng and other places in Zhejiang. His father, Lin Changmin, graduated from Japan's Waseda University. He was good at poetry, calligraphy, and served as the chief justice of the Beiyang government. His uncle, Lin Juemin, was a graduate of Japan's Waseda University.
In June 1924, Lin Huiyin and Liang Qichao’s eldest son Liang Sicheng went to the United States to study architecture at the same time.
In September 1924, the two entered the School of Fine Arts of the University of Pennsylvania together, starting from the third-year course. Liang Sicheng was in the Department of Architecture of the Academy of Fine Arts. Since the Department of Architecture did not accept girls, Lin Huiyin registered in the Department of Fine Arts. Lin Huiyin's registered English name was Lin Phyllis Whei-Yin. However, she still took the main courses in the Department of Architecture and realized her dream.
At 6:20 on April 1, 1955, Lin Huiyin died of illness in Tongren Hospital at the age of 51. Lin Huiyin's funeral committee consists of 13 people including Zhang Xiruo, Zhou Peiyuan, Qian Duansheng, Qian Weichang, and Jin Yuelin. On April 3, Lin Huiyin’s memorial service was held at Xianliang Temple in Jinyu Hutong, Beijing. After her death, her body was buried in Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery, with the inscription "Tomb of Architect Lin Huiyin" engraved on the tombstone.
Below the tombstone is a piece of white marble engraved with a beautiful wreath. This was originally a sample for the trial carving of the monument pedestal of the Monument to the People's Heroes in front of Tiananmen Square. The people dedicated it as a unique wordless epitaph to its creator Lin Huiyin. ?
Jin Yuelin, philosopher and logician. Graduated from Tsinghua School in 1914, and later studied in the United States, the United Kingdom, and various European countries. After returning to China, he mainly taught at Tsinghua University and Peking University. He never married. I have always been in love with Lin Huiyin.
In the late 1950s, Lin Huiyin passed away. At the memorial service, he wrote the famous elegiac couplet for her, "A poetic Qianxun Waterfall, an April day in the world forever."
